Music-powered vibrators, anyone?

OK, this post from Misteryosa, the personal website of Shari Cruz, aroused me, er, I mean my curiosity so much I had to share the details with you, heh :)

As if the iPod didn’t have enough accessories already, say hello to OhMiBod.

Here’s an excerpt from the Misteryosa blog entry:

Speaking of…playing with myself  …, OhMiBod is a work of a twisted and horny bunch of people. It’s a vibrator which you can plug into your iPod or any music player, and it automatically vibrates, intensity depending on the volume or genre of the music you’re listening to. Hardcore rockers definitely have the upper hand here, hehe. Yeow! I’d be sure to upload the loudest and most extreme songs that I know. And turn the volume up high! Bwahahaha! Whew! Talk about an axSEXsory! Now I can enjoy music and sex at the same time. Who says I need a man in my life to keep the juices flowing? I’m just hoping that its length of 5 1/2″ and diameter of 1 1/8″ would be enough to keep me happy.

I just find this weird though.

Q: Is the OhMiBod waterproof?
A: No. We do not recommend getting this very fun toy wet!

Don’t get it wet? Ironic!

By the way, the OhMiBod site has this disclaimer: “OhMiBod™ is not endorsed by Apple Computer Inc.” Haha, I just bet it isn’t :) Wonder what Steve Jobs thinks of this.

Here’s a photo from the OhMiBod press room. Don’t click on the link if you’re easily offended — though, really, it’s a relatively tame pic of a woman wearing the iPod mini garter while holding the OhMiBod vibrator.

Hmm, so who among you out there have already tried the OhMiBod?

hehe, now we have a new guessing game :) gotta admit, when i used that pic i was wondering if something was a bit off, but i figured why would they use a guy when they had so many women in their video :)

Naming the product was a blast. We sent a list of possible names to 200 people and asked them to participate in an online Zoomerang Survey to choose the best. “OhMiPod” was the clear favorite with everyone … except, er, the folks at Apple, who suggested (very politely) that we might want to consider other alternatives.

I guess that kinda speaks out what the Apple folks must have thought. ;) And eek, have to agree with Aja on that one. Even the thighs and legs look like a man’s haha!
