ANOTHER Filipino has put our country on the map, this time by winning an international cybersecurity award.
Here’s an excerpt from INQUIRER.net reporter Erwin Oliva’s story on Alex Ramos’ achievement:
“(I am) happy that somehow some people still notice that we are good at something. I never even thought I would be chosen. I never even knew I was nominated,” Ramos said in an e-mail message to INQUIRER.net in reaction to getting the award.
“I believe that you don’t see this kind of case very often, not even in a decade. It will be very difficult to duplicate such a feat since cases like these are few. People around the world watch us for sure and that may be a signal that they may be looking at us because either we are a potential threat or we are the right people to invest in. Others observe our behavior and I think this is one for the books,” he added.
