AS we count down to the senatorial and local elections on Monday, we’ve updated the Google map in our Eleksyon 2007 site to give voters even more online tools and help them make an informed choice.

Here’s an excerpt from INQUIRER.net reporter Lawrence Casiraya’s article:

MANILA, Philippines–Want to know how many voters in your province are registered this year as compared to the 2004 elections? Take a look at the Election Map at INQUIRER.net’s Eleksyon 2007 special site.

The map shows the number of registered voters in 2004 and 2007 for each of the country’s 81 provinces according to data provided by the Commission on Elections.

Clicking on a province’s marker on the map displays a table showing the province’s total number of voters and a breakdown by town and city.
