THE INTEREST generated by our online coverage of the May 14 elections has been overwhelming, and we’d like to thank all our readers for their support.
INQUIRER.net editor in chief JV Rufino wrote about how the election coverage has generated even more traffic for INQUIRER.net.
Here’s an excerpt:
MANILA, Philippines — Election fever has sent traffic on Inquirer.net, the news website of the Inquirer group of publications, soaring.
Traffic during Election Day itself, May 14, was relatively low, at a little over a million page views.
But traffic on May 15, the day after the elections, saw traffic doubling to 2.1 million page views, based on the site’s traffic monitoring system.
