IT took a bit longer than we anticipated, but we’re happy to finally announce the launch of our new INQUIRER.net VDO service in partnership with Yahoo!
iVDO is part of our long-term goal of making our content available on all platforms. It’s part of our whole multimedia thrust, which has been our goal since the beginning, though of course as you know some things happened along the way, heh
But now that we’ve completed the transition to INQUIRER.net under our new company Inquirer Interactive Inc., you’re going to see even bigger things ahead. And we couldn’t be happier that we found a partner like Yahoo!
Here’s an excerpt from the Breaking News story that INQUIRER.net reporter Erwin Oliva wrote:
Dubbed as INQUIRER.net VDO or iVDO, the new site will offer videos from INQUIRER.net and its partners, and, more important, encourage viewers to submit their user-generated content and reach out to a global audience.
In fact, to celebrate the 109th anniversary of Philippine Independence, INQUIRER.net is inviting Filipinos from all over the world to send in their videos of Independence Day celebrations and their thoughts on what Independence Day means to them, while also launching the Being Filipino blog.
Why did INQUIRER.net decide to launch an online video service? “INQUIRER.net offered its own online video service because it was the natural progression, the next logical step toward the evolution of online media,” said Leo Magno, executive editor and technology editor of INQUIRER.net.
Of course, you can also submit other videos that aren’t related to Independence Day-related, heh
iVDO site will have a Viewer VDO section which will contain this user-generated content. We want you to determine what you want to watch, and to give you the opportunity to show off your content to a global audience.
All submissions will be subject to editorial discretion. Videos should run for no more than 10 minutes and be less than 100MB. They must be in WMV, ASF, QT, MOD, MOV, MPG, 3GP, 3GP2 or AVI format, and have audio.
Videos should be sent via e-mail to inquirerdotnetvideos@yahoo.com.ph and include a brief description of 100 words or less.

I am trying to click the iVDOs in the blogposts but I cannot open them. What can probably be wrong?
