SO, think the Apple iPhone will eventually be supported by Smart, Globe or Sun in the Philippines?
I’m not going to lie — the iPhone looks incredibly sexy and I’m drooling with technolust.
How about you, do you have an iPhone already? How are you loving it so far? And to those who are here in the Philippines, would you buy one once it makes its way here?
Of course, based on past experience, our resident geniuses in Greenhills and other shops in the Philippines will probably unlock the iPhone so that it can be used on our carriers’ networks, but it would be great if it would be officially supported and if we would be able to access all the features. Like launching the iTunes store here already, Apple.
While we’re on the subject, check out this hilarious IFILM clip of Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” regarding the iPhone launch (iPhone on IFILM, heh). And, oh, Steve Jobs? I want an iPhone too, hehe.
Too bad we can’t embed the clip, but it’s understandable since IFILM is an MTV Networks company owned by Viacom, which went after YouTube precisely because of the unauthorized uploading of videos of its shows. And, yup, you guessed it, “The Colbert Report” was one of the most popular shows on YouTube. But Viacom, don’t you get it? Users want to embed videos on their sites.
So anyway, here’s an IFILM viral video clip we can embed, showing one of the iPhone commercials.
iPhone: Never Been an iPod
Here are more iPhone pics courtesy of Agence France-Presse.
This one shows John Mariano, who was first in line at the Apple Store at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles, California, being surrounded by onlookers and media as he came out with his newly purchased iPhone.
And here’s Erica Perez, the first customer at the Apple store in Santa Monica, California, showing off her two iPhones.
Hmm, John, Erica, are you by any chance Pinoys?
Oh, and this pic shows even penguins look cooler on an iPhone.
