mike-tan-podcast-1.jpgWE’VE just launched our latest podcast, The Newsmaker Podcast. Newsmaker is the news and public affairs podcast of INQUIRER.net.

In our first episode, INQUIRER.net executive editor Leo Magno (left) interviews University of the Philippines-Diliman sociology professor and Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Michael Tan discusses why students join fraternities and shares his opinion on whether fraternities should be abolished.

Be warned that the audio quality is somewhat poor, because it was one big room where you could hear the sound of the vehicles outside.

I recorded the podcast using Garageband on Mikaela, my MacBook Pro. As you can see from the pic taken by INQUIRER.net reporter Erwin Oliva, I forgot the stand for the podcast mike — sigh, I’m getting old, heh :)

The podcast mike and Newsmaker intro and extro are courtesy of our sister company, Hinge Inquirer Publications.

Thanks again, Mike, for the great interview.

Here are some more pics that Erwin took.

That’s me setting up while Leo and Mike talk.
