Alas, HD DVD, seems like Blu-ray has kicked your butt. Guess Sony finally gets to erase the Betamax stigma.
I still expect DVD to rule for a few more years, but now that the industry can unite over Blu-ray, let’s hope the prices of players and movies will quickly go down to spur mainstream adoption.

toshiba’s record in format wars…. 0 wins 2 loses…… wahahaha… they also lost the VHS betamax war… next time we have another video format war dont bet on toshiba!!! lolz XD

this wont affect sales of the DVD format in the Philippines considering most of us wont have any use of blu ray cds because if you have a blu ray player(which already costs alot) you would have to buy a HD tv which costs a fortune to appreciate the difference between the DVD and blu ray format… as far as the phil. is concerned it dont matter who wins the war…

Anything that has a code can be cracked. Kakacrack lang nila nang outer layer codes nang Blu Ray.
