Unhackable, that’s what you are

SOMEBODY should tell National Movement for Free Elections chairman Edward Go that you’re just asking for it when you talk about being “hacker-proof.”

Ask any techie. There’s no such animal. No matter how good your security is, you can’t really say it’s 100% hacker-proof.  And hackers, being what they are, might take that as a challenge.

Eleksyon 2007 running account

AFTER months of hearing campaign jingles and listening to the promises of candidates, today is the day Filipinos will make their voices heard as we troop to the election precincts.

Of course, INQUIRER.net and other media outlets will be working hard to make sure the voice of the voters will be heard loud and clear, and, in our case as the most visited Philippine news website, by Filipinos all over the world.

As you’ll notice, the INQUIRER.net homepage has already switched to our Eleksyon 2007 special coverage, which will include the potent virtual weapon we’ve used to provide a blow-by-blow coverage of major news events since the days of Estrada’s impeachment trial in 2000 — the running account.

STILL unsure how you’ll vote this Monday? We’ve added new tools to our Eleksyon 2007 site, including the Voter’s Guide and Sample Ballot sections, to help you make an informed choice.

The Voter’s Guide helps users rate candidates using a scorecard for pre-defined “roles” (strategist, servant leader, etc.) and leadership qualities (honesty, competence, etc.).
