Probe TV on the Web

- Internet, Media, TV -

UPDATE: Added comment on auto-play.

HERE’S a cool Philippine video site that shows how TV networks can make the transition to the Web. Visit ProbeTV.com. (Well, OK, except it seems the videos are on auto-play, which can be pretty annoying, hmm.)

Check out these clips.

Kudos to Probe TV. And thanks to Karen Borbon for the heads up :)

Spam, the time-killer

- E-mail, Gmail, Internet, Spam, Videos, YouTube -

WHO doesn’t hate spam? If we had our way, we’d live in a world without spam — and maybe even impose the death penalty on spammers, heh :)

Just how much time do we waste dealing with spam?

Watch this educational clip from The Official Google Channel on YouTube.

NBC pulled out its clips from YouTube and closed down its YouTube promotional channel prior in preparation for the launch of Hulu.

Here’s an excerpt from today’s post on the Hulu blog.

Facing Facebook

- Internet, Social Networking -

YUP, I’ve finally succumbed to Facebook as well — are you happy, Erwin, hehe :) Just joined today after accepting one of the invitations I’ve received.

Gotta admit, Facebook is pretty cool. Much better interface and cleaner layout than other social networking sites (*cough* MySpace *cough*).

Check out my profile badge :)

Google ate our brains

- Internet, Memory -

CHECK out this interesting article from Wired Magazine, which says we might be remembering fewer things because we now rely on gadgets like mobile phones and online tools such as Google to store our memory, so to speak.

Here’s an excerpt:

We’re running out of memory.

I don’t mean computer memory. That stuff’s half-price at Costco these days. No, I’m talking about human memory, stored by the gray matter inside our heads. According to recent research, we’re remembering fewer and fewer basic facts these days.
