Micro-blogging for music lovers

- Blip, Internet, Social Networking, Uncategorized -

TWITTER is cool, but if you like listening to music while you surf and micro-blog, you might want to check out Blip.

I previously blogged about Blip, which allows you to let people know what you’re listening to and share the music with them by embedding an MP3 in your Blip update.

In an e-mail interview, I talked to Jeff Yasuda, CEO of Fuzz.com, the company behind Blip.

(DVD) War is over?

- Uncategorized -

WELL, looks like Toshiba is finally crying uncle.

Check out this Reuters video report.

Alas, HD DVD, seems like Blu-ray has kicked your butt. Guess Sony finally gets to erase the Betamax stigma.

10 years of Synergy

UPDATE: Added video showing off Intel’s 45-nanometer wafer.

EL NIDO, Palawan–We’re here for the annual Synergy information and communications technology symposium jointly organized by Intel Philippines and HP Philippines. Synergy is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Hard to believe how much the world has changed since the first Synergy forum in 1998.

Our reporter Alex Villafania took a video of Fosberg showing off the 45 nanomenter wafer, and I’ll post it here as soon as it becomes available on iVDO on Yahoo!

GOOGLE is willing to pay $3.1 billion for DoubleClick, but privacy groups are now seeking to block the deal.

Here’s an excerpt from the Red Herring article:

The Electronic Privacy Information Center said that Internet search leader Google and advertising giant DoubleClick have not taken the necessary steps so far to protect the personal data collected by the two companies.

“Google’s proposed acquisition of DoubleClick will give one company access to more information about the Internet activities of consumers than any other company in the world. Moreover, Google will operate with virtually no legal obligation to ensure the privacy, security and accuracy of the personal data that it collects,” EPIC said in the filing sent to the FTC.
