I HAVE a soft spot for Cristy Hemme, the winner of the first World Wrestling Entertainment Diva Search in 2004, and it was a sad day when she left WWE. Which is why it's good that she's enjoying success in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), as well as in projects outside TNA. In fact, she's scheduled to face another former WWE Diva, Amy Dumas, better known as Lita, in a United Wrestling Federation match on April 20. YUP, she's big in Japan. Leah Dizon may not have set the world on fire in the US as an import model, but now she's enjoying tremendous success in the Land of the Rising Sun as a singer, model and TV personality. As you can see from this YouTube clip of her Girls of 360 DVD feature, this hottie, who has Filipino, Chinese and French blood, fully deserves to be idolized. MEET Sarah Catindig, one of the four lovely models I interviewed in Plantation Bay, Mactan, Cebu last week during the 2nd RAN Online Global Conference. PLANTATION BAY, Mactan, Cebu, Philippines--What can I say? I love this job! After our "barrio fiesta" welcome dinner for the representatives from different Asian countries who are attending the RAN Online global conference, I got to talk to four gorgeous models who have been tapped for the event, including RAN Calendar Girl for the month of April, Jonah. Since it was noisy in the dining area because of the traditional Filipino dances that were being performed for the guests, I asked the four models to go with me to one of the gazebos so that I could interview them. Here's the first video interview, featuring Jonah. And here are pics of Jonah from the RAN 2007 calendar. I LOVE the NBC sci-fi series "Heroes," and while her storyline kinda sucks, Ali Larter's performance as Niki and Jessica Sanders (OK, if you're just starting to watch "Heroes," you're probably wondering who Jessica is, heh) is simply awesome. Not to mention that Ali's one hot babe. So I'm happy to report that Ali has made it to TV Guide's Sexy Issue, which comes out Thursday in the US. The other babes on the TV Guide list include Eva Longoria of "Desperate Housewives," Evangeline Lilly of "Lost" and Katherine Heigl of "Grey's Anatomy."

FLICKR is a pretty popular site, and of course babes are also a popular subject. Check out Flickr Babes, which posts pictures of some of the most beautiful babes you'll find on Flickr. A simple enough concept, right, heh :) The photos are categorized, such as bikini shots, lingerie and simply sexy.

MAYBE we could say she's a Jac of all trades. Jac Ting Lim is a comic book artist who publishes the web comic "Pilya" on her blog Jac Strips for You, a girl gamer and a cosplayer. Jac was our guest in hackenslash: the podcast, Episode 6: "Jac of All Trades." Here are some of Jac's cosplay pics -- we got Jac's permission and of course we're crediting the photographer Jun Marcelino a.k.a. jokwa. Jac was cosplaying Oneechanbara (Zombie Zone, Playstation 2). Here's the video interview I conducted, where Jac talks about "Pilya," strong women, and some misconceptions about babes. SHE was FHM Philippines' Girl Next Door winner in 2005, and placed 45th in FHM Philippines' 100 Sexiest in 2006. But did you know that FHM babe and model Sofie Garrucho also happens to be a girl gamer? After we found out that Sofie loves different computer games such as Warcraft, Dungeon Siege and The Sims, well, this hot babe from Iloilo City just became a lot hotter. That explains the plastic sword, sort of, heh :) Of course, as a member of Filipino-made social networking site GrooveNet, Sofie also loves playing in the 3D world There Philippines, when she's not dancing the night away in the many GrooveNet parties. In fact, Greg tells us that Sofie has been so active in GrooveNet that she's become the unofficial face or image model of the social networking site. If you've read her FHM interview (or met her in real life, for that matter), you'll know that Sofie doesn't wear bras. But did you know that she crochets her own bikinis, or that she paints, including oil and charcoal paintings? Here's a short clip of Sofie answering INQUIRER.net reporter Erwin Oliva's question, "Who is the real Sofie?" when we went to Starbucks after the podcast recording session. I don't have a video of our one-on-one drinking session in Murphy's later that night (Jayvee joined us after about an hour of me and Sofie guzzling booze, but he didn't drink much that night and we all had to leave shortly afterwards), but here's our pic from the podcast recording session. And another a few nights later when we had one GranMa Slammer after another at Taberna Ocho, where I went straight from my bus ride from Clark, Pampanga after covering Media Nation. By the way, one order of GranMa Slammer, which you absolutely must try, consists of two shotglasses of Gran Matador brandy and one shotglass of Coke. The picture's fuzzy because of the blue lighting of Taberna Ocho (which makes it stand out -- just look for the blue glow along Maginhawa St. in Sikatuna Village, Quezon City, heh). We'll feature babes from all over the world, but of course our bias is for the beauty of the Filipina. And believe it or not, we believe that being a babe is more than skin-deep. OK, I won't be a hypocrite. I know we guys like ogling babes, and that posting their photos and videos here will generate traffic. Boys will be boys, right? At the same time, however, we want to take a closer look at these babes, and maybe help you get to know them a little better. We want to explore the different facets of their personality, and discover qualities that nobody might have seen before because they never bothered to learn more about the real person behind the gorgeous face and sexy figure.
