BEAUTY is in the eye of the beholder, but of course we all had our own picks for Miss Universe 2007.
The beauty pageant is over and we’d like to extend our congratulations again to Miss Japan Riyo Mori. Here’s a pic courtesy of Agence France-Presse.
But if you could be one of the judges, who would you have crowned Miss Universe 2007? Who impressed you most among the contestants? And why do you believe your pick should have won? This is all just for fun, OK?
In my case, apart from our own Anna Theresa Licaros, my pick was actually Miss Korea Honey Lee, heh
Ah, well.

I actually think Brazil gave the best answer… it was a smart answer, considering it’s quite a tricky question… unlike Japan’s question which is quite elementary… anyway, why did they get rid of the sound booth thing? the final questions should’ve been the same for candidates, that way, they can truly measure intelligence and beauty

Correction to my last post, it should have read the “former” and not “latter”. Or to make it clear, Ms Brazil is many times deserving to be Ms Universe

I believe for Donald Trump Ms U is all about business. Maybe a media partnership is in the works between him and some Japanese tycoons. Selecting Ms Japan is a feel-good nudge prior to a business venture.
My bet aside from Ms Phils was Ms Korea. But with Ms Brazil standing side by side Ms Japan, the latter should have won the crown hands down.

For me the most deserving to win the title, Ms Korea or Ms Brazil. They are very brilliant and charming.

I agree that last year’s representative from Japan was better looking and has more x-factor than Ms. Japan this year. I also agree that Ms. Brazil should have won the event this year. Her answer (although it was translated) was great and was almost in the category of Sushmita Sen’s “essence of a woman” answer.
Ms. Korea was ok but her reply in the Q&A category just sucks.
How about Ms. USA? I pity her for slipping in front of a worldwide audience and for being booed by those nasty Mexican audience. I also salute her for getting up from the nasty fall. That was truly grace under tremendous pressure.
