Alyssa, of course, gained fame for the Keys Me clip that was uploaded to YouTube a year ago and was passed on by Filipino Internet users via e-mail and blogs, introducing even more Filipinos to YouTube.
You might even say Keys Me was the tipping point that made YouTube mainstream in the Philippines. And Alyssa knew she had YouTube to thank for her 15 minutes of fame; she even said she was amused by the video and thanked whoever was responsible for it.
So, just to wax nostalgic, here’s Keys Me again, though I’m sure most of us are sick of it by now, heh

Walang masama kung di magaling mag-ingles ang isang Pinoy. Di naman natin wika ito. Mas masama yung mga nanglalait sa di marunong mag-ingles.
I personally found the whole brouhaha about her video distasteful and unkind. Colonial, small minds loved it because it gave them a sense of superiority.
