They want attention and they get more than that. Bet on this single ground they had been successful. A step further to an infinite number yet to be staged.

Its ironic why this kind of consciousness-stealing media-circus commitment can't be staged or can't be given to reformers calling for health services, education, agrarian, environment, electoral, judicial and other mainstream reformers.

Drive traffic to the circus its been efficient ever since it was employed by Rome body politic. Attention must be diverted to the trivial and the hilarious less the people would have their chance to the true affair of their state.

Good Job guys kung ganito ang mag po-promote ng lettuce marami ang magiging vegetarian at di mababawasan ang mga hayop kung hindi madadagdagan pa. What if we promote nationwide to sell lettuce in the market shopping malls etc. with similar profiles of the three ladies. I am sure na wala ng mag kakatay ng hayop sa palengke lahat sila ay magiging hayop na rin. Save animals save the planet be vegetarian.

haha i second the comment of erlie.. whatever these three sexies were really trying to convey, must be their "wares" or their gustatory "ideology", i respect their right to adopt any medium to express the same.. the message is their for us to read, if people decides to gawk at the bodies then maybe that is the bonus.. i myself cannot see how nakedness could convince one to be vegetarian.. but what the heck, everybody knows the virtues of vegetarianism, but not everyday would you see the intriguing results of following its preaching.. it was unfortunate that me and erlie were not there during the "exposition", it would have been a very educational experience.. query, though: is using lettuce as bra still part of being a vegetarian?? hahaha

Why can't three women walk around Metro Manila without a permit?

the filipina, katrina, also donned the same as she tried her luck on Pinoy Idol http://www.pinoyidol2008.com

Wearing a red bikini, she held a heart-shaped card saying "Have a heart... Go Veg!"

they might be using a not-so-right vehicle for their advocacy... were they able to convince people?

I think those who first wore the lettuce bikinis are probably truly concerned for the welfare of animals but the real intentions of those who followed, including these women, are now questionable.

I could have immediately turned vegetarian had I been in Quiapo when the ladies displayed their wares. Why, I could have immediately feasted on those fresh lettuce leaves minus the thousand islands.

Iligtas daw ang mundo, saan? I do not know what these women are promoting by wearing scant lettuce bikinis exposing their flesh being feasted on by the public especially the males. Are they doing it so talent scouts might spot them for a possible movie contract in the guise of having the noble objective of saving the earth by convincing the people to go vegetarian? They deserve to be on the beach instead of in the crowded streets of Quiapo.

They bothered calling it Playboy because the name shouts so loud. So that's okay. After all, franchises really have to adopt the culture. All out nudity is still not for this country, fortunately. And I think Playboy's move is, in an economic and moral point of view, wise.

But who am I talking to anyway? Of course readers don't care about the moral point, but they care so much about the rational - "What's Playboy without nudity?" "It's Playboy but tamer."

Geez, freshman ethics. People forget that the moral act is the rational act. So there's no use questioning the rational.
