WAS talking a few nights ago to my friend, model and FHM babe Sofie Garrucho, when she asked if I'd visited her blog lately. Well, I hadn't for some time now (sorry, Sofie!) and I told her so. Then she laughed and told me to check out one of her recent entries. "Which one?" I asked. "Oh, you'll know which one it is," she said, adding that she got quite a reaction from that post and that some people even called her up or texted her. OK, we did exchange a few text messages after I saw her entry, heh, because I just had to tease Sofie about her new best friend, a dildo named El Rey. Here's an excerpt from her FHM blog entry:

A few days ago I received a package from my very good friends, a couple from Chicago. The last time I talked with them, they told me they bought something for me that I would surely like. They wouldn’t tell me what was in the package. So I thought maybe it was the usual gift from friends like makeup, perfume, or clothing. So I waited for it without much anticipation. Then I finally got a hold of the package they sent me. To my surprise, they bought me this 10-inch silicone dildo. It’s called the “EL REY silicone dildo.” They were actually wrong ’cause I didn’t like it…but I love it! :) The package comes with the phrase: “You’ll feel like Royalty when you meet up with El Rey.” So, I was like, “Hello there, El Rey. Meet your new queen, Sofie!” Ha ha! You can even choose from three different colors. I got the one in vanilla. But if I had a choice I would prefer the caramel one because the vanilla color is too pale for me. The package describes it as a realistic design with sculpted veins and head and a suction cup base which adheres to any hard and smooth surface—PERFECT FOR HANDS-FREE PLAY! I thought, “Whoa! That, I wanna try!” *Grin*

And congratulations Sofie for being voted No. 88 in the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll. Alyssa, of course, gained fame for the Keys Me clip that was uploaded to YouTube a year ago and was passed on by Filipino Internet users via e-mail and blogs, introducing even more Filipinos to YouTube. You might even say Keys Me was the tipping point that made YouTube mainstream in the Philippines. And Alyssa knew she had YouTube to thank for her 15 minutes of fame; she even said she was amused by the video and thanked whoever was responsible for it. So, just to wax nostalgic, here's Keys Me again, though I'm sure most of us are sick of it by now, heh :)

WAS happy to hear from Sofie Garrucho that FHM Philippines has launched her hot, hot blog. Here's an excerpt from her first post. Also got the photo from her first blog entry:

First of all, I am so honored to be chosen by FHM Philippines to blog for them. FHM people, thanks for entrusting this to me. I will do my best to make it very entertaining and to make it into something that people will go back for more. Secondly, to those who supported me from the very beginning of the first FHM GND contest to the FHM 100 Sexiest last year, I hope you guys will continue to give that undying support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. To FHMBB members, I am very grateful to you for being there with me these past 3 years. Guys, here’s another add-on for spicing up your day! *kisses* What is my blog going to be about? Well, it will basically start off on anything under the sun. But I assure you that I won’t be scratching out that sexy-naughty feel, just like in our favorite site FHM.com.ph There are lots of things to watch out for in my blog. I have been waiting for this myself. I would be opening up more of myself to the public. I would be sharing my opinions to everybody, share all my insights, and even post my own personal confessions. (you got it right, confessions! *smile*) What I’m really excited about is, writing and sharing how I became the Sofie that you have come to know. But for sure I won’t bore you with reading things that are all about me. I may be a little nervous about these things but I will never let myself get affected on how people will negatively react about me.

Boracay. . . where the sun is golden, the waters pure and blue and the white sand is dazzling soft, truly paradise! But yeah if you’re already like a father of three, divorced or separated, a spinster or a retiree - this is what probably comes first in your mind when you go there. But in my case, hell no! *grin* It doesn’t mean that I don’t know how to appreciate nature’s beauty (believe me, I’m a nature lover *smile*). It’s just that when I hear the word Boracay, it means more than a beautiful sunset. To me it’s party and fun time with or without the sun. Yay! *hands in the air dancing* I’m sure a lot of you out there will agree.

SHE was FHM Philippines' Girl Next Door winner in 2005, and placed 45th in FHM Philippines' 100 Sexiest in 2006. But did you know that FHM babe and model Sofie Garrucho also happens to be a girl gamer? After we found out that Sofie loves different computer games such as Warcraft, Dungeon Siege and The Sims, well, this hot babe from Iloilo City just became a lot hotter. Here's a Slide Show of Sofie's photos taken by b5media.com technology channel editor and INQUIRER.net interactive media consultant Jayvee Fernandez during the recording of hackenslash: the podcast, Episode 3: "Groove is in the Heart," where Sofie and GrooveNet president Greg Kittelson guested. That explains the plastic sword, sort of, heh :) Of course, as a member of Filipino-made social networking site GrooveNet, Sofie also loves playing in the 3D world There Philippines, when she's not dancing the night away in the many GrooveNet parties. In fact, Greg tells us that Sofie has been so active in GrooveNet that she's become the unofficial face or image model of the social networking site. If you've read her FHM interview (or met her in real life, for that matter), you'll know that Sofie doesn't wear bras. But did you know that she crochets her own bikinis, or that she paints, including oil and charcoal paintings? I don't have a video of our one-on-one drinking session in Murphy's later that night (Jayvee joined us after about an hour of me and Sofie guzzling booze, but he didn't drink much that night and we all had to leave shortly afterwards), but here's our pic from the podcast recording session. And another a few nights later when we had one GranMa Slammer after another at Taberna Ocho, where I went straight from my bus ride from Clark, Pampanga after covering Media Nation. By the way, one order of GranMa Slammer, which you absolutely must try, consists of two shotglasses of Gran Matador brandy and one shotglass of Coke. The picture's fuzzy because of the blue lighting of Taberna Ocho (which makes it stand out -- just look for the blue glow along Maginhawa St. in Sikatuna Village, Quezon City, heh).
