The bailout for an ailing economy is an attempt to resucitate the ailing economy. Whatever the government is doing, even at the expense of the taxpayers, is a burden that all citizens must share because it is they themselves who gloried at the time of plenty.

The tea party is a politically motivated move to halt the economic stimulus. Personalities and groups initiating the event could aptly be traced with the Republican party - the opposition, the conservatives and the elite. From a Filipino immigrant’s standpoint, they alienate Filipinos by the simple stereotype of being rich and conservative. Filipinos should not partake of this effort.
