MANILA, Philippines–“Kilig factor” runs high when you’re around Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. Their affection and sweetness for each other is no put-on at all.
“I gently remind Dong to stop doing his annoying mannerism every now and then,” Marian says, giggling. “I’m used to it but others might find it weird. He does it unconsciously so I have to call his attention when he’s at it again.”
She obviously has grown fond of her leading man to the point of learning to live with his idiosyncrasies. Marian rambles on like a girl talking about her crush.
“Dong is so pikon but in a cute way. He’s sweet to me but he doesn’t realize it sometimes. He doesn’t allow my guy friends to visit me on the set. Neither does his GF Karylle drop by. Respeto lang sa love team at work namin.”
Marian admits that ever since she became “Marimar,” her suitors increased. “Katawa lang. One actor is almost like a stalker na kasi kahit saan ako pumunta bigla siyang susulpot.”
Her legion of male admirers will be thrilled to know that Marian is now ready to pose for men’s glossy mags as long as the pictorial’s thrust will be a la Marimar. Marian’s never had it so good.
With sheer determination, the new Marimar is bent on finding a throne to call her own.
New game show
I had so much fun as one of the mob members in the pilot episode of Edu Manzano’s new game show “1 vs 100” (Saturdays, 7:30 p.m., ABS-CBN 2). Although it took six hours before taping started due to technical glitches, it was worth the wait. In my book, Edu is unbeatable in the game show genre.
Too bad I got eliminated right away. Mea culpa! I knew the correct answer but I pressed the wrong button. I just got so caught up in the frenzy of the moment. I won’t be surprised if “1 vs 100” soon becomes No. 1 with its 100 percent excitement factor.

yes! i agree sa galing & ganda ni marian aka marimar…madaming maganda & magaling umarte diyan pero hardly catch my attention & marian got my full attention..sayang my son is too young for her or else i would drag my son to come with me & we’ll fly to manila just to see/meet her.. of course, i love dingdong & richard too! galing nilang pareho..i give credit sa director ng marimar kc very natural ang mga kilos at galaw sa show na ‘to..
i don’t want the show to end but of course it has to & i can’t wait para mabili ko na ang dvd once it’s available..

Yeah! I am always watching Marimar since day one I know the fact that this show is going to be great. I never experienced in my entire life watching soap opera because I am a busy woman I don’t have time for stuff like that, but then this show is amazing and their loveteam is so wonderful bagay na bagay sila ni Dingdong Dantes they have great chemistry I hope they will be able to make a movie together for sure will be successful movie.
