IF you have extraordinary powers, would you rather become a hero or a villain?

Throughout the third season of Heroes, that dilemma has been the recurring theme. Heroes turned villains. Villains turned heroes. As some heroes desired for more power, some went astray. It was now a question of, “Are you one of us, or one of them.”

As the saying goes, power corrupts. Now, having extraordinary powers, one can be eventually lured to the dark side. In the past seasons, Peter Petrelli has been undoing things his brother Nathan Petrelli had done. But in doing so, he has been changing the future (not once, but many times). Despite his purest intentions, Peter has continued to play god in first half of the Season 3, traveling through time and deleting events that he hope would change the future. But as his mother Angela Petrelli would keep reminding him, there are consequences.

Spoiler alert!

After nine months of waiting, the new Heroes episode finally airs. As season 3 premieres, two episodes were immediately lines up by NBC.

This season will answer questions like “Who shot Nathan Petrelli?”

Without giving away too much details, the two new episodes will introduce new characters and “repackaged” characters. You will find the world’s fastest thief introduced. You will also see Heroes becoming villains. It is going to be a battle between good and evil.

So who shot Nathan Petrelli? Was it Noah Bennet who is a known killer?Adam Monroe? Niki Sanders? Angela Petrelli? Mohinder Suresh? Claire Bennet? Or the most obvious one, Sylar?

Let’s just say a certain time traveler intervened to protect the future. Enough said.

SOMEBODY help me, Sept. 15 is too long a wait to get my “Heroes” fix.

Yup, the sci-fi show whose second season got gutted by a writer’s strike and the Un-Wonder Twins (damn you, Maya!) will be back for its third season on Sept. 15.

Here’s what the Sci Fi Wire story had to say:

Heroes will return to the schedule on Sept. 15 with an hourlong clip show premiering at 8 p.m. ET/PT and a two-hour season premiere airing at 9 p.m., its regular timeslot.

It’s been too long since we’ve had “Heroes” on our TV screens, though it helps somewhat that NBC continued the action online with Heroes Evolutions.
