The last days of JDV

10/17/07

Posted under Philippine politics

A leader of the opposition in Congress told me Monday night that Malacanang was moving quickly to replace Speaker Jose de Venecia. “Are you saying his days are numbered?” I asked. Yes, the oppositionist said. “Watch what happens when session resumes on the 6th.” [Actually, Congress resumes session on November 5.]

Bravado or insight? Wishful thinking or prophecy?

the topic is JDV, hence i wrote about him and not gma.
may i request some courtesy in the way we write our blogs? sometimes it sounds offensive. let us show some respect for each others opinions. after all, i’d like to believe we are all educated here.

voltaire said “i disapprove of what you say, but i will defend to death your right to say it”….let this be our dictum.

to jules-aeron…i had a good laugh w/ what you wrote, noticing the spelling and all…hahaha. a respite from the seriousness of the topics.

hindi ako impressed kay jdv111,wala siyang karapatan magsalita kay gma ng
corruption kung siya mismo ay gumagawa nito.ignore, ignore…

At bakit? After all its the taxespayer’s money. You just want to ignore all the corruption under the bugos president of cebu. Bakit how much are you getting? Can you throw some of it here so that we can be able to buy rice/bagoong. Salamant.
