A leader of the opposition in Congress told me Monday night that Malacanang was moving quickly to replace Speaker Jose de Venecia. “Are you saying his days are numbered?” I asked. Yes, the oppositionist said. “Watch what happens when session resumes on the 6th.” [Actually, Congress resumes session on November 5.]
Bravado or insight? Wishful thinking or prophecy?

What can I say….this is nothing new in politics…no permanent friends..only permanent interests…
However, for me…its good na nagaaway na sila…but its not enough…dapat magpatayan na silang lahat na mga politiko…wala din naman silang ginawa kundi ang MAGNAKAW AT MANGURAKOT!!!!

if ever JDV will be replaced, its enough indication that bribery really happens. i may not be a supporter of JDV but one way or another, officials should remain respectable at all cause. what the Palace has done is a bare corruption and every filipino People has the right to know and we give thanks for JDV in bringing this to th people. kahit papano, kailangan magpatuloy and pag-sample sa mga piliticians natin……. hmmmmmmmmmm

Your source, John, seems to be not a reliable source. What glaring evidence than his ignorance of the date of the resumption of the session in Congress. If, on the other hand, he is reliable, will you ask him when it would be the last days of the one who is moving very quickly to replace him? I’m referring to MAD (mutually assured destruction).

bribery happens everyday to everyone in philippine politics….you didnt know that? hahahahahahaha

Joey III has been busy making the rounds giving interviews. He even showed up with his House Speaker Dad saying negative things about GMA’s administration. It shows the great divide that now separates his father from GMA. If the relationship with GMA is not strained Joey would not be saying those hate remarks in deference for his father. It;s pretty obvious behind the son is the father who is orchestrating the whole scenario using his son to speak out his true sentiments while the father assumes an outward semblance of a friendly smiling face with GMA. No wonder GMA suddenly resurrected JDV’s obsession for Charter Change perhaps to calm down JDV and as a gesture to him that he will soon have the chance to be a prime minister in the parliamentary government. What a ludicrous show of hypocrisy.

Errol,
Those in the Palace and involved allies should answer their involvements and cover-ups first.

Those greedy bastards…Hindi na sila masaya! Kasi sa sobrang dami ng binibigyan at hinahatian to cover up the lies and the corrupt practices hindi na sila happy. I knew it! It will just one day blow up in their faces.
It is called GREED!

JDV is the typical example of trapo.
Enough na.
We had so much.
Pareho lang silang dalawa ni GMA licking each others ass.

In GMA politic, everyone is dispensable, if you go against her.

Why talk of JDV? Why not talk of the beginning of the last days of GMA?
Are we going to see a repeat of a takeover by the VP before the incumbent President term ends?
Your guess us just as good as mine.
Let’s face it, politicians who support GMA are not really loyal to her but rather to the billions of pesos at her disposal up for grabs!
Maugan P. Mosaid, Ph.D.
Let’s face it, JDV is already an excess baggage in Philippine politics His Speaker’s sit has warmed up for him, now it’s intolerably hot! Maybe, it’s time to vacate it and give chance to new bloods. Not Mr. Garcia from Cebu for he may just be the same dog with different collar and color. Not from the opposition whose only interest is to topple down this government! Maybe, it’s time to try Congressman ‘Way Kurat’. He is an ephitmoe of Philippine folk life who makes fun out of nasty situations and laughs out serious problems of politics and the society. That’s the coping up mechanism of Filipinos when they are short of better solutions to worst problems. C’mon, behind ‘Way Kurat’ may be a stockpile of good tricks to cope up with volatile politics. Mind you, his antiques may just be all that we need to pump prime the economy!

The trapo master has lost his touch and found to his utter dismay that his student, PGMA has surpassed him. He has his back on the wall and even FVR deserted him. But he can still save his hide by turning the sham impeachment complaint into a real one by ordering his loyal henchmen to send the impeachment straight to the Senate. Both of them will lose their power and position but PGMA will suffer more. Let us wait for the events happening on November 6.

A chance for Speaker JDV to redefine his role in history beckons.
If he could make GMA’s gambit (the sham impeachment complaint against her filed by her lackeys) boomerang by mustering the required 80 votes in the Lower House to send the complaint directly to the Senate, JDV just might find himself become (a hero, and) more presidentiable than he has ever been in the eyes of so many Filipinos who had been waiting for so long already for the day when justice is served.
And, it would truly be justice at its sweetest and most poetic!

I believed that the payoff is always happening everywhere and not only done by the camp of the president but also by the accusers…… It was only divulge to public because one desires was not favorably acted upon by the other.
Investigations in the house and senate even Anti graft commission………. is not the answer unless accusers and the one being accused will inhibit themselves in the investigation by way of resigning.

i for one is not impressed w/ jdv 111…as what sen. miriam said, his revelations are half-truths and lies. its a fact that he got concessions while his dad is the speaker. and the gall for him to enter into govt. transactions, since this is against the law!
if he was truly for BOT scheme, why did he have to go to china, dine w/ zte and deal w/ abalos? pleaaaassse! niloloko mo kami joey, pero hindi lahat nainiwala, ok? pls. read manuel lacson’s blog re this….let us analyze the father and son’s moves, before praising them to high heavens.

Both the son and fatlher are same. Speaking of moral revolution which nothing but a piece statement that make look funny that would make you vomit blood. It’s terrible, i think the law has to take its course. JDV and son have to be accountable for their action. Imagine, the Speaker openly violate the law that the they are suppose to uphold.
He is even worse than Erap and yet still clamoring for moral revolution. I think JDV has to start his moral revluiotn by vacating his position than directing the spot light to GMA. He is typical trapo that makes a lot Filipino suffers. What do you think. The left are killing those that are anti-masses or those that have caused suffering to the people. Why can’t they target JDV, Ping LAcson, Pimentel and perhaps those other Congressman and Senators that did nothing except to talk and talk while the country suffers.
Maybe the Left does not have balls to do it or subscribe to the same beleif and practices.

What are you trying to say, That pandak is not guilty with all the corruption she’s been doing? There is solid evidence against her but she’s still the one running the country because she control the entire corrupt justice system. Oh, Ano tama ba ako, Mrs. Pidal.

the topic is JDV, hence i wrote about him and not gma.
may i request some courtesy in the way we write our blogs? sometimes it sounds offensive. let us show some respect for each others opinions. after all, i’d like to believe we are all educated here.
voltaire said “i disapprove of what you say, but i will defend to death your right to say it”….let this be our dictum.
to jules-aeron…i had a good laugh w/ what you wrote, noticing the spelling and all…hahaha. a respite from the seriousness of the topics.
