The battle of the corrupt: Marcos vs Arroyo

12/11/07

Posted under Philippine politics

In history’s all-star corruption race, who was worse?

Pulse Asia has an answer; or, rather, the survey firm has plumbed public opinion, and located the public’s answer. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is the “most corrupt president in history,” statistically edging out the late dictator, Ferdinand Marcos.

Here are three Tables of survey findings (the survey was taken in October 2007), summarizing the current state of public opinion. (Note, in particular, the second Table.) Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge them.

    Bert Says:

I disagree with the results of this survey, or at least the how it was done. There is not enough clear links connecting President Arroyo to those corruption stories alleged to have happened everywhere during her administration. The survey should have been done on the husbands and wives of presidents. Or, on the cabinet officials serving the presidents. It is bad imputing the sins of husband to be the sins of wife. Or the sins of the minnions for that matter. Unfair.

    palagay ko mali ang survey………

kung ang survey ay ginawa during the term of:

    marcos, siya ang pinaka corrupt……..

    cory, siya ang pinaka corrupt…….

    ramos, siya ang pinaka corrupt……..

    erap, siya ang pinaka corrupt…….

there is no battle, pare pareho lang yang mga yan, during their term, sila ang pinaka corrupt sa ating bansa………..
