Not Ala-bang, but Ala-whimper

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I am not completely sold on the P50-M bribe allegations involving the so-called “Alabang Boys.” Perhaps it’s the way the PDEA has cast a rather large net; I cannot quite see Ric Blancaflor being in on the bribe. And a couple of DOJ prosecutors seem genuinely innocent. I don’t know; the plot, as they say, thickens. (Then it sickens.)

I think extortion is the word, not bribe. You know how it goes - consider a traffic infraction as a microcosm - think about how most manage to get by it - do we really bribe them or do they extort money from us to save us the trouble of claiming it from the local traffic office?

why was the BIGGEST bust in the history of the philippines (shabu lab last year 300M right?) wasn’t this big of a story? I can’t see the logic behind this is such a big issue to be in the headlines almost everyday.
