Though your piece exposes the hypocracies of our local entertainment industry, the title of your post doesn't do itself any favors.

You write to show that Lovi Poe is a serious actress, yet use a scandalous sensationalist headline to mislead people to make your point. You can defend yourself by saying it's needed show as many people as possible the supposed "truth", but in the end, it comes off as disingenuous and somewhat dishonest.

Say what you want to say from the beginning. Don't lie to us about what you really want to talk about.

To clarify, I did not call the article dishonest. It's the titling of the article that I'm opposed to. I do not know Mr. Roden, nor have I seen any of his movies, so I have nothing against him. If he does good work, more power to him.

But let's be honest here, the most read pieces here on Inquirer.net usually lead to tabloid-like or sensationalist headlines. And this article, though probably well-meant and serious, has a headline designed specifically for more hits. It's false advertising plain and simple.

We can debate the merits and wrongs of such a practice all day. But in the end, I'd prefer to have someone tell me what something is about, than have me mislead (spamming anyone?), regardless of my reasons for being interested.

I'll leave it at that. And in passing, thanks grammar Nazis!

In the past, and in some other decent movies, they can able to portray romance, sex and other love scenes without being obscene. If, according to writer that a 16-year old girl eloped with her boyfriend and had sexual intercourse, must be portrayed according to script, then it can be in a more cinematic way and not pornographic in theme and format.
But what the director would want to portray is the art of love scene and not the story behind it.

Then tell me, is it right for the writer to back lash at the critics imploring that he is the only one who can understand "arts"?
