I’ve never seen anything good about Defensor’s stint as one of Gloria’s cohorts entirely defensive of the preening president’s void presidency.And that alone has destroyed his credibility to win a seat in the Senate.Too bad for a very young intellectual like him whose wasted idealism could have been very inspiring to young Filipinos like me. If he could have instantaneously left Malacanang as if it was a burning Inferno before the election fever arrived, I could have given him a second thought of voting.

i know how everyone feels about mike defensor. i know also how a lot of people like chiz escudero. but in my observation, they are two people you could draw some parallelism about. mike is consistent and firm on being with GMA. many people dont like him because he is standing by GMA, and people hate GMA now. on the other hand, chiz escudero is firm with his stance on being in the opposition. he stands by what he has started. he started as someone who defended former Pres Estrada, he still has that belief on hand till this day. and difference is people like chiz because he is against GMA. so i think it is quite unfair to debate that mike is a no good person. with that said, i would say that these two are examples of what we need in our country that most politicians lack, firm beliefs and convictions. we move from one area to the other, whatever makes us convenient, and we forget where we come from. (though of course i cannot argue, using these two, on making them as examples for what is right and just. that would create a whole biased discussion). =o) i therefore round it up in a couple of words: they are part of my senatorial slate!

Well we can say a lot of things to these present day candidates but it is not us who is worthy or in the position to judge them because we really do not know what’s in their hearts. But if we are to be very discerning to their pronouncements either late or present we could intelligibly judge basing on these and a line could be drawn as to what are the real intentions and motives and why they are badmouthing this and that, obviously because some selfish politicians are posing as advocates for the masses when in actuality they are only after the position and the conveniences that comes with it. Kawawang Pinoy! Madaling mapaniwala ng mga maiingay. Please hear this: ” My people perish for lack of knowledge”.

Let us not be swayed by the noise of these people. LET US READ BETWEEN THE LINES! Mabuhay po ang Pilipinas!

I believe in Mike’s capabilities as a public servant. It just irritates me when he defends Gloria. He should start thinking by now.. stand by Gloria or win a seat in the Senate!

Mike Defensor is an opportunist as well as the rest of Team “Dis” Unity. If Mike have any morals he will distance himself with the Arroyo administration. He will not win on this coming election because of his Gloria affiliation. Finally, Mike’s political gimicks sucks i.e. chasing petty criminals and using/exploiting his kids in his campaign???? What a looser. One suggestion I think will work in your campaign, as well as Chavit, is start sweeping the streets of Metro Manila like a Metro Aid and people might actually believe in you.

I agree to a degree with your sentiments regarding our own race going overseas to find jobs to the extent of leaving their families behind for their desire to lift up their living standard. Why? mainly because foreign currency is attractive and the open door policy that has been implemented by each country worldwide have allowed us to be able to make that choice to leave our country and migrate. Although Mike Defensor has conceded defeat, he still has to be man enough to make an accounting of his election expenses. And where he got his election fundings from. If people may recall, there were insinuations that he received so much money from the operators/backers of the Sentosa Recruitment Agency, which he helped last year. People remembered what he did. That is why he did not land in the Magic 12. He used his position to pressure POEA Administrator Baldoz to lift the suspension order of Sentosa. Perhaps he was just ordered by his boss, but the fact was that he was the one who made the phone calls. I think that Defensor will really stand tall in the eyes of the Filipino people only if he tells the truth about his political intervention in the Sentosa matter. Challenge sa iyo, “‘tol”.

1. To explain why you had to call ConGen Rebong and POEA Administrator Baldoz regarding the Sentosa nurses’ case. Your department did not have supervision over these two, di ba? Si Rebong, under DFA. Si Baldoz, under DOLE. If you were in Baldoz’s shoes, at makatanggap ka ng tawag galing Malacanang, anong iisipin mo? Wo’t you feel pressured? What you did was, to say the least, inappropriate and uncalled for.
2. To tell the truth who instructed you to make those phone calls. Was it the President? What were the instructions to you?
3. To make public your statement of contributions and expenses in relation to your run for the Senate. Was it really true you received substantial amount of money from Sentosa Recruitment Agency and its backers, the foreigners led by Ben Philipson?
To Mike and Mike’s supporters out there, we need to find out the truth. Sabi nga ni Mike mismo, there is honor even in defeat. Prove yourself to be an honorable man, “tol”.

At least until the end he was consistent with his support for GMA. Wrongly or rightly he stood for what he believed. Unlike DRILON who a week before he broke off from GMA was in high praises for her.

In the end it was personal interest (assuming De Castro was ousted too) that made him veer off. As Senate President he COULD have been president.

I thank you with admiration for you have felt my love for our country Phil. I have lived overseas for number of years and tried to go back as often as I could. Am sorry, but I could only speak for myself. It has been my greatest desire to go back to the Phil to live, as the saying goes, there’s no place like home and my blood is still filipino running deep in my veins that’s why I look forward for a better Phil. If someone out there in govt could turn the economy above water and turn it into fruition then its a win-win situation for all of us filipinos. Maybe now ordinary filipinos cannot yet feel the effects of 6.9% growth domestic product that was posted lately but let us hope nothing negative will happen to drag it down after all when it trickles we are the beneficiaries.Highest growth is china second is Vietnam and we are the third among other countries in Asia. Gloria Arroyo, Keep telling the filipino people that she’s going to create job. But the job she’s talking about is selling the filipino people to the highest bidder. This is one of the reason why there is lots of filipino people leaving the country everyday. So that they can be able to work to support their family.

I thank you with admiration for you have felt my love for our country Phil. I have lived overseas for number of years and tried to go back as often as I could. Am sorry, but I could only speak for myself. It has been my greatest desire to go back to the Phil to live, as the saying goes, there’s no place like home and my blood is still filipino running deep in my veins that’s why I look forward for a better Phil. If someone out there in govt could turn the economy above water and turn it into fruition then its a win-win situation for all of us filipinos. Maybe now ordinary filipinos cannot yet feel the effects of 6.9% growth domestic product that was posted lately but let us hope nothing negative will happen to drag it down after all when it trickles we are the beneficiaries.Highest growth is china second is Vietnam and we are the third among other countries in Asia. I feel proud

6.9% nothing to be proud about. Its means nothing! Because that is only for the last three month. Thats only temporary situation. Gloria Arroyo, Has been squatting in malacanyang palace for the last seven years. She done nothing to uplift the filipino lives. In fact ever since she stole her title from the duly Elected President Joseph Estrada, And stole it again from Fernando Poe, Jr. There is more “N” more filipino people are starving. The only accomplishment Gloria Arroyo, Has done is to put the Philippines in the map. As number one corrupt in asia, Number two human right violation in the world. Do you call that an improving? I think not.

If we want to progress, Its time to kick her ass out. Its overdue! The filipino people deserve better. DITCH HER OUT. PRONTO!!!

i believe in mike! he is a great person and very intellegent. he should not be judged by being affiliated with GMA. At least HINDI SYA balimbing like others. he knows what he is doin he should have won. for us number one sya. not all poliyicians are as smart AND WITTY as him. others cant even speak english well and got nothing between their ears but MIKE started young. many are corrupt but si mike he is different! i would say! go mike we are here!
