I'm no Vilmanian nor a Batangas resident but this should be enough to prove tha
t at times it is even better to vote for someone who have had background in the
entertainment industry and had the initiative to get herself educated to aid h
er legislative or administrative functions than someone who makes the whole ent
ertainment revolves around himself.Enough for those elected officials who are b
etter of (or worse) than real actors.

I'm not prejudiced against actor and actresses.You just need to ask a very simp
le question to know whether she is effective or not.

What action has she done during her term as local government officials that cre
ated positive impact to her constituents. What i mean is not changing of street
names or beauty contest.But HARD evidence that under her leadership something
great had happened. I guess NONE . PLEASE tayong mga PINOY, matatlino tayo but
we don't use it. GONE are those days that we live alone in this world. GLobal
ization is not POPULARITY, it s about COMPETENCE, INTEGRITY and MAN/WOMAN OF AC
TION. If you want your livelihood to remain at its dismall condition, GO ahead
and vote without your brains.

SANCHEZ was really wrong from all angles. I was born in Cebu, I grew up in Pa
ngasinan, and I worked in Bohol. I have been to places in the Philippines, and
nbow in the world. Just try to see Lipa city and you will know what Vilma San
tos Recto did. If you are not contented, then you are free, establish a reside
ncy there and run for public office and we will see your worth!

Ms. Vilma Santos is the only actress who has been very successful in the politi
cal arena because she is diligent and her desire to learn has never halted. Sh
e is really star for all seasons not only in the film industry but also in the

for public office as a governor but not as a president. To be a president need

Corruption is now rampant in the Batangas Capitol. I work there. They use ver
y classic modus in corruption. Php 60M for medical supplies and equipment, proc
urement of which was approved without actual bidding. Recently, they purchased
tables and chairs which are not really necessary, and dumped it in the offices
, unused. Vilma Santos also asked for a blanket authority to enter into contrac
ts from the provincial board. She's asking also for a tax compromise authority!
And they want to sell the lot where Lyceum of Batangas stands at a pittance! A
pparently for a commission above the cash which will go to the provincial coffe
rs, allegedly equivalent to what will be agent's fees to Vilma. And she rarely
goes to work, max of 2x a week. She's ineffective and does not really have "ma
lasakit". what you see on TV is far from the "real" Vilma Santos. I will NEVE
R vote for her again. I pity out Province...

Vilma Santos Recto deserves her rightful position in the politics. As a Batang
ueno who has lived in there fo 40 years, I know for sure Batanguenos are straig

put Vilma in the office, that would only mean she possesses the right characte
r for the right people as a leader. I know Vilma has struggled in private life
before, the lessons she learned from these are enough to arm her the character
