NATIONAL BOYCOTT ON ELECTION 2007: THE FINAL CRUSADE AGAINST POLITICAL MADNESS
IN THE PHILIPPINES

by Mr. Important
March 30, 2007

The 45-day campaign period for local government candidates has already begun wh
ile the senatorial candidates are now on their 45th day but still campaigning t
o over 45 million Filipino voters who have only 45 days left to elect the best
senatorial and local candidates.

These figures maybe just a mere coincidence but, the question is, âAre you read
y to vote?â

Today is actually the moment of truth that Filipinos must decide whether to vot
e or NEVER TO VOTE AT ALL!

Why NEVER TO VOTE?

Actually, I refuse to believe, as of this moment, that there still exist wise v
oters in this country. Do you think it is wise to vote for electoral candidates
who just campaign using the tune of BOM TARAT TARAT! and with a political ad s
aying âSAY CHIZâ plus a very wide smile I couldnât understand what was it for?
Politicians nowadays are very funny indeed!

Is this how stupid the politicians think of Filipino voters who are watching an
d listening to them as if weâre in a circus?

Whatâs at stake in the government office that politicians dare to spend million
s of pesos just to serve our country âKUNOâ, if not just for fame, power, and t
he opportunity to corrupt?

In fact, I do believe it is worthy for all voters to condemn them all! And, the
best way to condemn these politicians is TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 2007!

TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 2007 sets to call for aid that we can no longer breathe in
this country with a political system contaminated by political virus!

If you will vote, you just give the politicians the idea that we like the way t
hey run an Election Circus and thus, you are consumed by a political system inf
iltrated by the growing numbers of infectious politicians! Or, perhaps, youâre
just one of them!

TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 2007 doesnât mean we donât care for this country anymore. I
t somehow paves the way to let the politicians know weâre now awakened! That we
donât trust them anymore! That weâre no longer traditional voters! That we dar
e NOT allow them to consume us! And finally, that they donât deserve our votes!
!!

Nowadays, if you will vote, youâll get frustrated that even COMELEC personnel c
ouldnât manage to protect our votes. Youâll then be surprised of the election r
esults were manipulated. How sure are we that our votes are so well-protected t
hese days? After HELLO GARCI, whatâs NEXT?

TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 2007 doesnât guarantee we lose more job opportunities just
like what a TV station has stressed out! Itâs a bluff! Are they (politicians) t
he employers of the nation? Thatâs a laugh!

Why NEED TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 2007?

Frankly, there are 3 main reasons why I convince myself TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 200
7! Allow me to discuss them.

1. POLITICIANS DONâT HAVE A CLEAR AND SPECIFIC PLATFORMS OF GOVERNANCE. Platfor
m of government is often neglected by most Filipinos during election but, for m
e, it is the most important element to determine the best electoral candidates.
It serves as the politicianâs guide what to prioritize during his stay in the
government office.

Honestly, I have read those platforms of some senatorial candidates who top the
surveys and most of them are nothing but mere statements that even a high scho
ol student can simply construct.

Try this one: âIsulong at ipaglaban kung anong naaayon sa batas upang makamtan
ang katotohanan, katarungan, kalayaan, kapayapaan at pagkakaintindihan nating l
ahat.â Huh?!*@*? Is that a prayer? Then, AMEN to it! Actually, this is from o
ne of the highest-rated senatorial candidates today. I believe he could have do
ne better! He represents the voice of the youth. In fact, he is supposed to be
the only person I should vote. I wasnât even convinced when I listened to his (
CHIZ) podcast interview and believe me, from the start to end, youâll probably
get bored in monotony!

The reason why our country hardly prospers is that, we DONâT have a leader with
a clear direction. Their platforms of government are as clouded as their minds
are!

Why do Lacson, Sotto, Oreta, Pangilinan, Villar, Legarda, Arroyo, Recto, Honasa
n, Coseteng, and Angara seek re-election? I will not be amazed if these people
will be elected again, our country will be just the same as ever.

When Lacson was asked in his podcast interview on what made him decide again to
run for senator, he replied:
Lacson: âUnfinished business and a little bit of
pride.â

Here comes again Mr. Sotto to repeat the same answer âunfinished businessâ afte
r serving two terms in the senate. His only hope is how his Eat Bulagaâs Dabark
ads (Vic and Joey) could persuade the Filipino voters to vote for him through p
olitical ads. But, I do believe the Filipino viewers enjoyed watching Eat Bulag
a without his presence!

Mr. Pangilinan also pointed out the same idea para daw hindi maging ningas kugo
n lahat ng pagbabago they have started. Huh?!*@*? Ano âyun?

And, this one is really funny during Villarâs podcast interview at http://newsi
nfo.inquirer.net :

Question: Given the cost of campaigning and the lack
of immediate legislation has on running a
country, why seek re-election?

Villar: Again⦠again⦠(wanted the interviewer to
repeat the question and so the interviewer repeated clearly and a little bit sl
ower)

Villar: Alam mo, after awhile, ay hindi nman puro
pera lamang yan⦠ah gusto mo rin naman ah
somehow âyung ipagpatuloy âyung nasimulan
na. Maraming konsiderasyon kasi ang
pagiging senador eh⦠Pag-senador kana,

This kind of answer is an indication of a politicianâs lack of purpose to run a
nd it actually deserves no vote. Also, talagang nakakahiyang matalo if the peop
le will decide never to elect recycled politicians!

Platforms of government shouldnât be the same as ever. They should be accomplis
hed within the 6-year term so that the next time the politicians seek re-electi
on they (politicians) could have another agenda to pursue.

Actually, the reason why they seek re-election is NOT because they have unfinis
hed business. In fact, they are incapable to accomplish what has to be accompli
shed. They donât have specific targets as much as they donât have a clear direc
tion of governance.

I actually expect them to be strong enough to include in their plans to increas
e the minimum salary up to P500.00 per day in June 2009. Wow! That would be imp
ressive! And, to support the plan, here are the strategies and methodologiesâ¦
blah blah⦠blah blahâ¦

Indeed, politicians in the country never learned. They are exactly the same as
ever but more corrupt than ever! They are the only corrupt individuals who are
very proud to be acknowledged as HONORABLE.

What if NOBODY among the candidates could demonstrate a clear direction of his
governance, WILL YOU STILL HAVE THE COURAGE TO VOTE?

2. NOW SHOWING: ELECTION CIRCUS IN THE PHILIPPINES. Gone now are the showbiz g
igs! Even the yearâs most awaited film, Spiderman 3, which will have its openin
g day in May 4, is never heard of. Filipino senatorial candidates emerge like b
ox-office actors and rise to fame like superstar wannabes!

Whatâs goinâ on my friend?

The nature of politics in the country has brought us in a direction so terrible
to imagine. The main subject is focused not to important issues but, towards a
direction polished and ornamented by political gimmickry. The senatorial race
today is now adjudged on how cool and effective your political ads are. This po
litical madness has lost the integrity of a politician being a profession!

Everytime I see senatorial candidates banging the primetime slots with their no
nsense political ads, I feel annoyed! I feel like my conscious mind, in my very
young age, is being fooled. We deserve more than just âK Na!â, âAng Gara sa Se
nadoâ, and the irritating âItanim ang Pichay sa Senadoâ, and those rap sounds l
ike Gloc9 and other band-influenced ads proved THEY DONâT DESERVE OUR VOTES!

Itâs not like, âPANGARAP NYO LANG NA TUPARIN ANG MGA PANGARAP NAMINâ! Plans sho
uld be specific and realistic! I wish youâll never end up your term âNANGANGARA
P PA RIN TAYO NG GISING!â - that if youâll be elected! Anyway, âhindi masama an
g mangarap na iboto!â

I donât wish to sound preachy. Perhaps, if you could have spent your political
ad budget to build better houses for the poor, then, it is much convenient to s
ay, âIâm happy to fulfill your dreamsâ.

Also, I donât believe showbiz personalities who aspire to be a senator can be a
n efficient legislator. Acting, directing and film-making is NEVER the pre-requ
isites of law-making! It will take them years to study politics and law-making
for them to convince the people that they are ready to legislate.

Have you learned a lesson from Mr. Lapid who abandoned his post as a senator be
cause of his incompetence to legislate? Are the Filipino voters aware that sena
tors are supposed to be elected to legislate and not just to build schools bear
ing their names like SEN. RALPH G. RECTO TYPE SCHOOL BUILDING in Batangas and o
ther waiting sheds with politiciansâ name nationwide? Politicians in the countr
y are of the same colors undeniably!

What we need in the House of Senate are those people who are ready to face and
fight the issues that hinder our country to prosper and not those neophytes who
join the house unprepared for the battle!

What happens to Mr. Revilla anyway? Why he couldnât step aside his acting caree
r and focus to serve the people who wrongfully voted for him?

And, here comes Mr. Montano who âNAGULAT DAWâ when the administration offered h
im to occupy the vacant slot of Team Unity. How could the administration manage
to recruit incompetent individual to run for senator?

I hate to deny the fact that Cesar Montano is my all-time favorite Filipino act
or but politics is EXACTLY not his world. I wish to see him one day he will be
the first Filipino to win an Oscar. Hollywood has opened its doors upon you, so
you better not lose it! I believe you have the gift but you need to find where
it fits.

Also, how does it take Pacman to endorse Mr. Singson as âIdol ng Bayanâ? Is he
loosing his mind? If Pacman likes banana, then heâs a monkey and the rest of us
are Homo Sapiens.

Mr. Absolutely knows nothing about logic anyway, that his attempt to run as con
gressman was trying fry me up inside a freezer. How I pity his hunger for atten
tion and for allowing politicians to consume his fame! He seemed to be confiden
t enough to occupy a seat in the House of Representatives as if heâs in a boxin
g arena! Sige ngaaaah⦠How does a BILL become a LAW? What are the formal parts
of a law? What are the classifications of MOTION?

I know nothing about law-making either but, this recently-announced-high-school
-graduate-boxing-champ is such a crazy idol trying to steal the limelight once
again. Iâm not concern if heâs going to win or not but, Iâm so worried the peop
leâs champ will be the center of laughter in the congress. He seemed to be rela
xed in his next fight. Who knows that his political madness will end his entire
boxing career?

I even couldnât imagine a congressman-turned-presidential-chief-of-staff end up
speechless in his political ads. Does it mean the TALKING âTOL has nothing to
say anymore?

Political dispute between members of the family is just a usual scenario in the
country. It is an indication of Filipinosâ hunger for power that they dare to
give up a member of the family for the sake of fame, power and prestige. They j
ust canât help it! They even make it more obvious that political power in the c
ountry is like the precious Ring of Power that Smeagol craves for and could die
for.

Why canât they just fix their family first before trying to fix this ill-fated
nation? You can never bring peace in a country if you donât have peace at home!

In this very dirty political system like ours, particularly in local government
elections, how many lives of electoral candidates must be spared just for the
cravings to occupy a government office? So much evil has spread in the country
âs political system!

What does Mr. Garci trying to prove to the Filipinos in his quest to be elected
for government office? His insanity has weighed much of the total political ma
dness in the country! Shame on you and to all your goons!

In order to survive a political career, people seek a shoulder to lean on even
if it is in enemyâs lair. Such a shame is quite normal in the context of Philip
pine politics. How easy for them to swallow their pride? These political turnco
ats are famously known today as A-S-O (Angara-Sotto-Oreta). WILL YOU VOTE FOR T
HEM?

Frankly, I will never give a damn! I am not gonna lose a centavo just to vote
for any of them! NEVER!

3. INCOMPETENCE IN LEADERSHIP. Iâm tired of listening to political disputes be
tween the Team Unity and Genuine Opposition. Theyâre like in a thug of war wher
e both parties grab this nation in opposite direction making our country so unp
redictable and moving towards the road of uncertainties.

A TRUE leader should never tolerate this. Instead, our leader is supposed to be
persuasive enough to convince the opposition side to follow the goals and dire
ctions SHE has set for the benefits of our countrymen.

Mrs. Arroyoâs failure to unite the people in one banner is manifested through h
er continuous support for her own political party as clear than obvious. Bias a
s she seems, she keeps on endorsing politicians and campaign for them to be vot
ed upon. Why canât she just keep quiet and let the people decide? Why allow thi
s country to be torn apart?

The reason why we canât move on to save this country from serious economic cris
is is because we donât have a leader that can guide us in ONE direction. She ju
st proved her incompetence!

Actually, WE DONâT HAVE A LEADER. I do have different views on how to determine
a leader from those who pretend to be a leader. Well, itâs really disorienting
to pretend like somebody youâre NOT! For instance, having voted upon during 20
04 election as president doesnât mean youâre worthy to be acknowledged as a lea
der. A true LEADER is someone who can really unite us into one banner. Someone
who has a moral fiber to stop this nonsense political fragments where there is
NO pro-administration and NO opposition, instead, only one TRUE nation!

Now, who among the candidates today manifest being a true leader? If NONE, what
âs the essence of VOTING!

These three made me decide TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 2007! We deserve leaders who can
illustrate a clear direction of governance. We need government officials with
proven integrity and capability to unite the people in order to go straight in
reaching our common goals to free our people from the bondage of poverty and to
strengthen our economy towards a better and very progressive nation.

Ours is the country with serious issues to solve and we just canât simply deal
with them in a form election circus! NEVER!

Until now, I donât understand who leads the Genuine Opposition and to what dire
ction they have for this country. Even their 10-point economic plan never sound
convincing to me.

Also, I wonder what could be the Genuine Oppositionâs first move in case they w
on the majority in the senate. Is it true that 2007 Electionâs a referendum on
Mrs. Arroyoâs administration? Are they trying to impeach Mrs. Arroyo once again
? If Mrs. Arroyo will be ousted like Mr. Estrada, who do you think is the best
person to take her post? Could it be you? Are you sure? Then, I suggest, you ne
ed to consult a physician!

Certainly, I donât like Mrs. Arroyo at all! But, I did vote for her! I didnât v
ote for FPJ not because I doubted him. He maybe a prominent showbiz personality
but his fame was before my time. I didnât also vote for Mr. Estrada because of
only one important reason I couldnât tell yet.

Mrs. Arroyo may not be the best 2004 presidential candidate but I believed she
was far better compared to any of her contenders!

With her administration, the economy we have is at least doing better. Let her
finish her plans and allow her to pass her administration to someone proclaimed
by the majority of Filipinos in 2010. After all, 3 years time just simply pass
es by. Please, for goodness sake, donât make it obvious how hunger for power yo
u are! Make your own agenda worth living or else, live in hell where you belong
!

The only best thing we must do is to work together to strengthen our economy. T
his is our country and ours is the responsibility to protect. Letâs start to se
t a goal to obtain a US dollar equivalent to P25.00 in 2010. I believe we can m
ake it possible if we will work as a team where there is no corruption and no o
pposition! That would be the noblest thing we can offer for this country rather
than shouting in the streets in a form of protest rallies that never worked!

TO THE FILIPINO VOTERS. We kept on complaining about traditional political lead
ers we have in the country but, we hardly realize we compliment with them being
TRADITIONAL VOTERS.

In my simplest way of categorizing Filipino voters, they can be sorted out into
three - TRADITIONAL, INTELLECTUAL, and ABNORMAL.

To begin with, TRADITIONAL voters comprise the vast majority who choose famous
candidates that frequently appear on TV particularly those from showbiz with no
nsense political ads. They allow politicians to buy their votes. They donât car
e about the platforms of government. In fact, they really donât care who will w
in as much as they donât care about this country!

A group of people during election campaign, for instance, left the campaign are
na saying: â Nakakaantok naman ang kampanya, walang kwenta! Wala man lang artis
ta!â

One day, I heard a by-stander saying, âIboboto ko yun si Cayetano kasi mabait y
un. Sabi ng kapit-bahay namin, isang senyas lang daw, bigay-agad yunâ. Huh?!*@*
?

We need to convince ourselves that the best candidates are those who help the p
eople draw their own foods and not by always providing them. Offer them jobs!!!

ABNORMAL voters, on the other hand, donât know who they are going to vote. They
vote just to participate as in fiestas and they usually bring sample ballots.
In fact, to ensure they have copied all in the list, they normally copy what is
written including the word PRESIDENT or SENATOR in the blank slot, Governor, M
ayor and even the word sample ballot itself. They also include the names of the
ir girl friends and names of family members just for fun! See how ABNORMAL thes
e people are?

Lastly, INTELLECTUAL voters are particular about the politiciansâ platform of g
overnment. They research about the candidateâs personal profile and read relate
d news concerning issues involving the candidatesâ responsiveness. They often w
atch TV News program. Theyâre very watchful and theyâre among those highly conc
erned individuals in this country but, they represent about 5% of the total vot
ers. Their numbers arenât strong enough to proclaim their best chosen candidate
s.

Now, let me ask you, DO YOU HAVE THE INTELLECT? Then, use it well TO BOYCOTT El
ection 2007! Whatâs the use of intellect if all we have are incompetent candida
tes who can never define their purpose?

If you think you are in doubts, uncertain and donât have any idea who you shoul
d really vote this coming election, then, I suggest, YOU BETTER NOT VOTE! You j
ust lead this country in the middle of nowhere and in NO direction! How disappo
inting, we just allow this country to sink no lower!

TO THE YOUTH. Make use of your power as a strong component in this country. Be
a catalyst for change. Never allow yourselves to be consumed by our politicians
. Whether we like it or not, we donât have that much hope from these politician
s vying for our votes. Make us believe that youâre still the hope of this natio
n.

Actually, I had the most disappointing experiences with our youth leaders in th
e country. Theyâre just the replica of our present national leaders. In fact, m
ost of them are already consumed by those people in authority. Even corruption
and cheating during Election Day are already practiced in most student councils
nationwide.

But, I still believe in the youth. The future of this country depends on how we
put our best foot forward to lead this country. Letâs us proclaim leaders acco
rding to our will to change the course of our future!

Let us put an end to the stupidity of âBOSES NG MASA!â. Ours is the time to mak
e loud the âBOSES NG KABATAAN!â.

The time has come to end up this political madness in the country! Letâs shout
to the public TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 2007 and start to live a better political sys
tem in 2010!

TO THE POLITICIANS. How I wish youâre aware that the time youâre elected by the
people, itâs like you have to submit yourself to them and be glad to be of PUR
E SERVICE to the Filipinos here and abroad. You keep nothing for your family an
d yourself.

The way you run an election is a disaster!

HINDI NA KAYO NAKAKATUWA!

When shall we experience total reforms?
When shall we light the beacon?
When shall we be a good example to the youth?

I couldnât figure out how many laws are already enforced to dates. Most of the
senators, including Legarda, are very proud that they have enacted several laws
compared to some of their colleagues but, the people have no idea what are tho
se? No wonder, when a law-breaker is arrested ask, âTEKA, ANONG KASALANAN KO?â
Even Mr. Singson didnât know that giving a cash prize award during campaign per
iod is a ground for disqualification. Well, he is expected to know better!

I should say I do not understand your laws! They are not strictly enforced that
most of our people donât pay respect to them. I donât care about Executive Ord
ers, Republic Acts, and Fair Elections Act and that Singson was caught in actâ
¦. Whatâs the purpose of such laws if the people are not aware about them? If n
ot because of internet, I certainly have no idea about a few of them!

GRAFT AND CORRUPTION: AN EPIDEMIC. How does it feel to be in a country wherein
the most corrupt government officials are almost everywhere? What preventive me
asures that our government have done to eliminate corruption in the country? Do
they know the ROOT CAUSE of the problem? Is their something wrong within the s
ystem? Why couldnât we fix it and prevent the recurrence of the problem?

It is simply difficult to eliminate graft and corruption in the country when no
body tried to investigate and correct the system. Maybe, most politicians let i
t that way so it could be easy for them to corrupt.

I believe poverty is a by-product of the nationwide graft and corruption. Look
at the economy of Japan and Singapore and you hardly find people below the pov
erty line status. It is because their government officials promote and pledge t
o make quality of service a way of life with utmost honesty. They utilize their
resources and money for over-all improvements which are beneficial for their p
eople. Corruption is never an issue because their people are satisfied by their
chosen leaders. While other countries are now focusing on global warming and e
nvironmental issues, ours remain battling with this âwalang kamatayang corrupti
on!â

Where are the leaders we thought the crusaders for change and allies on anti-gr
aft and corruption campaign? They are supposed to be the champion against graft
and corruption!

According to Hong Kong-based PERC survey, Philippines scored 9.40 out of 10 as
the most corrupt in Asia. Well, I was never surprised about this result why our
country is the most corrupt in Asia. This figure can be interpreted as 9.40 ou
t of 10 politicians are corrupt. In fact, I will agree with you by saying 9.40
out 10 Filipinos are really corrupt.

Indeed, most Filipinos are really corrupt. It is simply manifested through Fili
pino attitudes on taking advantage on other people being âMAHILIG MAGPALIBREâ.
If youâre a politician, you are expected to donate something in most festivitie
s! Try to go on vacation in your province and the people would say, âMagpa-blow
out ka naman! Galing Manila eh! Wala man lang pampadulas!â If itâs your birthd
ay today, youâll expect people around you to say, âMagpakain ka naman! Manlibre
ka naman!â until such time you never tell about your birthday anymore. We are
all corrupt indeed!

Most Filipinos never thought corruption is also an act of corrupting morally! E
verytime we ask something from the politicians, we are simply corrupting their
minds. Even the rampant vote-buying is also a form of corruption! I never used
not to blame anybody but this time I shall blame it to 94% of the Filipinos why
we rank no.1 as the most corrupt in Asia!

Even if you will hostage the kids and all passengers in the bus and appeal to t
he politicians in the world to stop corruption in the country, âWA EPEK âYAN!â
because it is the nature of most Filipinos to corrupt.

If we wish to eliminate corruption in this country, then, letâs start it from w
ithin. Never allow politicians to buy your votes because you really look CHEAPE
R than CHEAP!

AN ULTIMATUM.

I know we still have the best leaders in the country! And, I have that much co
nfidence with some of our Chief Executive Officers (CEOâs) in most global organ
izations in the country, as long as theyâre not yet corrupted and consumed by o
ur politicians. Their capabilities to run the organization entailed with strate
gic planning, total quality management and their ability to unite the people to
live with common values are good indicators that they are, by far, better comp
ared to our recent leaders.

I wish to take this opportunity to call on our best CEOâs in the country. If yo
u think you have the guts and the heart to run this country to free our people
from the bondage of poverty, we ask you to leave your post at once because we n
eed you and weâll support you all the way and to whatever ends! Perhaps, you ca
n form an alliance in 2010 election to BLAST OFF all political viruses contamin
ating this already vulnerable country! If it is possible to require all governm
ent officials to have a SIX SIGMA project, then, be it! Hah!!! Letâs see if the
se politicians will dare to be elected again!

Certainly, to attract most investors, Filipinos need first to improve the quali
ty of service we offer to them and it doesnât primarily come from the governmen
t personnel, but, it is a total coordination within the members of the communit
y. Total Quality Management System should be part of the system of government a
nd it should be consistently enforced nationwide.

I am proud to be in a company who helped the people make quality a way of life.
A company with a strong commitment to achieve the goal and now we are getting
bigger and better. Itâs nice to work with people who share common values and wi
th members in the organization so accommodating. These made me realize NEVER an
inch I could compare the kind of service I received from our company to the go
vernment offices combined.

It seems the government needs to benchmark a strong system from most global org
anizations for them to realize we are now living in a most advanced era. âNilul
umot na tayo ng panahonâ and yet, some of the government offices remain using a
typewriter. âUso pa ba yun? Haller!â

Again, we only have 45 days left but, I have already decided NEVER TO VOTE. No
force on Earth could bring me to polling precinct. I remain to campaign for ELE
CTION BOYCOTT. This is what I believe the wise Filipino voters should have in m
ind.

Actually, I never wish to deprive you of your freedom to vote. Itâs all up to y
ou my friend! It is your choice. I just canât really imagine how POLITICIANS ma
king fool of the Filipino VOTERS and how quickly the people seemed to accept th
e reality that election in the country is just for FUN! I love this country and
TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 2007 is the only safe way to let politicians know we need
a NEW POLITICAL SYSTEM.

Letâs make them realize theyâre just wasting their stupid money!

Isnât it wonderful to witness an election where the voters are the electoral ca
ndidates themselves? ââDi ba para silang TANGA?â Well, I should say, they deser
ve that way!

After all, there are still winners to proclaim. Just let them experience their
last hurrah!

Sa totoo lang, I have chosen three candidates (ATTY. ADRIANO SIZON, ATTY. ZOSIM
O PAREDES, & DR. MARTIN BAUTISTA) that really deserve my vote just two days
ago. But still, I am not going to vote because I know they are not going to wi
n. They donât have millions of pesos like what Pichay has spent for his senator
ial campaign. But, these three have the best platform governance compared to Te
am Unity and Genuine Opposition combined.

When I listened to a podcast interview of Atty. Sison at http://newsinfo.inquir
er.net/podcasts/, despite they are out-numbered and out-of-budget, Sison said
âNumber is not a problem. Once youâd explain your side in a very convincing way
, you can get the other to vote your way. I believe in the power of persuasion
through explaining the reasonsâ.

Honestly, I hate the idea of some Filipinos who didnât vote for candidates beca
use they know nothing about them. Isnât it ours is the responsibility to know a
nd elect the best senatorial candidates? If we donât know about them, then, ALA
MIN NATIN at MAKIALAM TAYO! You may visit their website at www.angkapatiran.org
if you wish to know them well.

If NONE of these three (ATTY. ADRIANO SIZON, ATTY. ZOSIMO PAREDES, & DR. MA
RTIN BAUTISTA) will win, then, it is therefore concluded that Filipinos are ind
eed UNWISE voters!

When I write this letter, I feel no hatred but disappointed! I poured too much
of my emotions but I never appeal to pity. I have showed too much concern but,
unlike some, I shall never abandon this country helpless. Most of our people ju
st left so easily and escaped the reality because they looked into this country
and see no better future! But, I believe there is still hope. We Filipinos des
erve to change because we still have much time to experience our victory and to
enjoy our triumph.

Again, I remain TO BOYCOTT ELECTION 2007. Letâs altogether set a record as the
worlds most voters TO BOYCOTT A NATIONAL ELECTION! If weâll succeed, weâll onc

i edited this video & i hope in my own little way i can help advocate a cle
an & honest 2007 election... more power!

why is it that we see this candidates lately these days, well.. for obvious rea
sons election is soon to come.

you can see all smiling candidates pretending to be all chummy with everyone th
ey see.

after election, do you still see any of this candidates approaching tricycle dr
ivers, sari sari store owners, jeepney drivers, students in public schools, etc
.

to the candidates - be more realistic

Hello. This site is great! It is informative. I hope you will do this every ele
ction time. By the way, I suggest on the next election announce the registratio
n period at least once a week in your newspaper or in this site. I noticed most
people forget that it is already the registration period. They realize it when
they watch protesters on TV demanding an extension.
Also, I hope somebody creates a law that makes it mandatory for all candidates
(from the president to councillors) to post their agenda, projects, objectives,
etc... in all major newspapers at least once during the campaign period and in
a designated area in the city or province. This way we could vote wisely. I am
so frustrated that all I see is their faces. I don't know who to vote coz I do
n't even know what they believe in, what projects they will implement, what law
s they will pass. If not then, could you please try to get this info next time?

basta ako masaya na mukang walang artistang mananalo. sign na ito na natuto na
ang voting public ng philippines. one of the reasons why i moved to canada is
because i don't wanna be governed by any person na mas mataas pa pinag-aralan k
o. but from the looks of it, mukang may pag-asa pa ang pinas... sana nga natut
o na ang mga pinoy sa pagboto. para na rin sa kinabukasan ng mga future filipin
os...

A candidate's qualification should be carefully scrutinized by the comelec, it
could also rely on information gathered from the citizenry. To ensure fair play
, Comelec should set a certain time for complainants to file cases of disqual
ification against candidates as well as a period for which it should make a rul
ing. Comelec should not do another Cayetano feat in the future so as not to pa
int a picture of conspiracy. If someone wants to say something, better say it
within the prescribed period or keep it to himself forever. Like what the chur
ch minister declares before begining the rites of matrimony.
