Once in a lifetime comes a person who embodies our ideals and it is the privelege of today’s youth to have Chiz Escudero as the public’s servant in the senate. I believe that with the new crops of promising individuals like Allan Cayetano, Mar Roxas, Kiko Pangilinan at Pia Cayetano, the future of philippine politics is not that bleak. They serve as Oasis in the middle of the desert.

I will not vote for Chiz.. I agree na wala talaga syang nagawa for Sorsogon. Kung alam nyo lang kung gaano kahirap ang Sorsogon, at kung ano ang mga hinde nya nagagawa para dito, I don’t think u would still vote for him. Naiirita na ko sa boses nya, puro satsat wala namang binatbat!!!

I believe that when he is in senate, he will filing complaints against the president, thus giving less time for legislation. As for what his group has been saying in the media, once in office they will be looking into impeachment…an then what? start filing charges against all politicians? It would be better to reform the system first that revolt.

Mahusay din ang export growth natin. Ang tourism pumapailanlang. Ang balance of payment positive. Ang foreign reserve ng central bank stable.

Maaaring sinungaling din si Gloria pero may resultang maganda ang ginagawa nya. Eh si Chiz walang alam kundi magsinungaling! Wala ka pang natutulong sa bansa - puro ka dada! Itigil mo na pang-uuto sa masa!

Yes Chiz can truly be in the senate, all his qualifications and all . But what is disappointing is that the very foundation he used to boost his election bid is nothing more than a very old,bad, and rotting sense of “crab mentality”. C’mon, just because the guy speaks well and has bashed the government openly, it doesn’t mean he’s gonna be a good and effective senator..Ask the people of Sorsogon, ask them why no one among them will vote for him..Yeah, he uses his mouth a lot, but has he actually done anything?? no..You vote for him because he aggresively opposes the government, but do you think that helps? im not saying that i am pro-administration, but i fairness, the government has helped our country (even at a slow pace). I’m in dubai right now, and because of busy works , i forgot to register in the Absentee Voting, which I thought automatically registered, I have the eagerness to vote here in Dubai but unfortunately I missed, anyway I’m in favor for Chiz, he’s a good leader, strong politician that our country needs of. I don’t know him very well but still he has the guts other than candidates to sit in the senate who knows political problems rather than to be a problem in the senate, we all knows to whom I’m talking too. I believe he will do something for change. And I was definitely amazed to the filipino voters this elections, because on the results for senatorial race leading are really good politicians and not considered trapo and “shining star” (you know what I mean). I’m so proud to the filipino voters who vote for good leaders.

Although I do believed on Chiz Escudero’s intelligence and potential as a good leader, I am disappointed by his unrelenting support and defense for world known corrupt womanizer and gambler the Philippines had ever known..ERAP.A man of straight principle should stand by righteousness not in any by emotions and personal loyalty. Its also a sign that If he becomes a top leader in the future, he will rule not by his instinct but by a corrupt political patronage. SAME DOG w/ DIFFERENT COLLAR.

To those who are telling that Chiz has not lobbied any law in Congress, are you sick? Did you try to really read the official website of the House of Representatives?

Naman oo. Dada kayo nang dada at sira nang sira pero you, yourselves, aren’t doing your homework.

Chiz has been very consistent with his political principles in enacting laws. If you tried listening to his podcast here at Inquirer, he had reiterated that the country does not at all need any more laws. We have had a lot. As in a lot. The only problem is that leaders were not vigilant enough to have these implemented. That’s why everyone, and as a leader, he needs to act as someone who must see that these laws are indeed working towards fulfilling ‘masa’s’ common good.And that was what he did. And will always do.

So who needs a legislator whose work is to enact and enact innumerable new laws when he tends to keep away from instead seeing if these laws are indeed implemented?

Ladies and gentlemen, still, at the end of all these clashing opinions, you can never ever really deny the reality that Chiz has arrived in Philippine politics. While it is true that he loves to argue and have an outspoken personality, at least, what comes our from his mouth comes from his cerebrum.And you claim that blabber-mouth?Do you remember your public speaking classes way back in college?As a politician, you need to master the art of persuasion and rhetoric. Clearly, voicing out your opinion does not qualify the claim that you don’t walk your talk.
I can be silent but it does not follow that I’m better in putting my kept words into action.Talking and not talking is not the be-all and end-all of leadership. But I would buy the idea that a good leader must know the craft of carrying the language to his advantage. And Chiz is absolutely a cut above the rest –sharp and witty; concise, consistent, straight-forward.

He might not have proven yet the best meat of his leadership capabilities, being very young, but it is of course entirely wrong to conclude that he is never deserving of his commanding votes enough to give him the senatorial seat.

And, on a lighter note, if only the number of comments to a senatorial candidate could also be counted at PICC, then Chiz will again absolutely win! Good lord, look at the figures —54 Comments!

Why don’t you just comment on Pichay or Chavit if indeed you love these undeserving TU candidates?

The evidence presented against Erap Estrada is overwhelming, only those people who are blind can’t see it and those people who refuse to do so. There are paper trails all over, go to the court so that you can see it. Be intelligent enough to search the truth if you really would like to know the truth. Don’t rely on what you hear, most of it are unfounded.

In reference to the allegations that you made regarding the corruption in this government, yes there is truth to it… I admit that.. but I believe our government is trying its best to eradicate it. Corruption has been here for ages, stumping it out tomorrow is an illusive dream, unless we commit genocide. The problem here in our country is that our media is always focusing on bad news not good news. Go to another country Salina,and you won’t see the kind of hoopla that our media people are doing in presenting bad news.

Salina, have you seen evidence that Gloria Macapal Arroyo cut a deal with any contractors so that she could receive kickbacks? I for one hasn’t witness one, thus I am witholding judgement against her integrity. Here in the Philippines where anybody could lambast you and ruin your reputation without offering a shred of evidence, I would be very cautious with my judgment. Yes, this government is no saint but I will not trade it for Estrada’s comeback. No way!!!!!

For your information ma’am yes, I voted for the candidates whom I firmly believe qualified to run this country, unfortunately those that don’t deserve to be in the Senate might win.

I love this country, but I’m having second thought of staying. If the partial result of the election is the preview of the midset of the voting populace come 2010.. tsk..tsk… I have to get out of this country as fast I can.
