[JUSTICE Secretary Raul] Gonzalez can defend himself and [make] disclaim[ers about] his offer but whatever he says, he knows and we all know that it was an intent to buy votes.
He has such a big mouth… typical corrupt politician who does a lot of lip service but no delivery. I pity the president of the Philippines for she cannot find good people to help her run the country.
With the likes of Gonzalez who loves to put his foot in his mouth most of the time, we do not need another catastrophe to hit the country.

Sec. Gonzales is there for a reason. He’s like a loyal, rabid dog that the administration unleashes on its enemies. However, he’s too much of a loose cannon that he always gets himself and the administration in trouble.
He has shown himself to be very insensitive with his comments on the Peace Corps volunteer who died. Now, he’s showing his contempt for the basic rules of elections.
The Justice Secretary is supposed to be the government’s primary lawyer. Sec. Gonzales is becoming a liability. However, I don’t see him getting replaced just for these gaffes.
The quality of secretaries have deteriorated since the resignation of the Hyatt 10 on July 2005. Since then, most of the appointments have been made because these people are loyal.

On Raul Gonzalez!
Every single word he utters is a joke to me. I don’t know. But try to look closer when he speaks matatawa ka. Just thinking about him now …grinning…
Gonzales sucks
President Arroyo’s worst mistake was not the “Hello Garci” stuff but her appointment of Raul Gonzales as her Justice Secretary. Gonzales does not behave like a Justice Secretary. He’s publicity-hungry and I hate to say this but he… sucks.

Is Mrs Arroyo run out of good people to fill her cabinet? I know Mrs Arroyo knows about this, Sec Gonzales is a liability to your cabinet madam, dont let the unsatisfied people of the Philippines grow because of him.

What is more to say? … He proves himself to be worthy of being the administration’s ally…and, he also proves himself to be a distrusted public servant. Siya pa naman ang Justice Secretary at siya pa ang naglabas ng batas na nagbabawal sa panunuhol tuwing eleksyon.
Truth hurts, really it hurts. But the truth shall remain as the truth that Mr. Justice Secretary Gonzales BRIBED local officials in his hometown to ensure a 12-0 victory of the TU candidates…Well, in the other hand, who can blame an ally trying his best to claim victory which is FAR FROM REACH!

Mr. Gonzales actions only show and prove how corrupt the present administration of Mrs. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. His superior is a corrupt and what else should he be?

In a barangay, what can 10,000.0 pesos do to buy votes? I think he was not buying votes but probably encouraging the brgy captains to favor TU. That 10,000.0 is a meager sum compared to what the local politicos could give.
If there’s a thing his guilty about, its opening his mouth. Actually, i dont see him as such a damage… in fact he’s like a clown…

I agree his a loose canon and is a liability already. Im quite amused though by this negative sentiments being aired by our leftist countrymen. They are very quick to put the blame agad on GMA.

Oh, Raul, Raul…why are you our Justice Secretary?

The denial of Sec.Gonzales that he is not guilty of vote-buying is a smack in the intelligence of the Filipinos. Ginagawa tayong “engot”. Anyway, I think that we deserve this kind of servant & government because we allow ourselves to be cheated upon and be bought by these politicians who make their (public) office a livelihood and not as a means to serve the people.

You too old enough to know the right and wrong specially that you are a justice secretary(shame). You don’t have any credibility at all para kang hindi educated………. bahala na si lord sa iyo

Raul Gonzales talk much without sense. His postion does not fit his behavior. The saying goes, Still Water Runs Deep, yung maingay MABABAW ang pag-iisip.
GMA should get the brigthest laywer in the country to be the Justice Sceratary.
Meritocracy would help us and not just appointing because of political obligation.
