THE REPORTED feud between Team Unity members Ilocos Sur Governor Luis "Chavit"
Singson and Michael Defensor seems to be heating
up after Singson said several Ilocano associations would not include Defensor
on their sample ballots.

VIGAN, Ilocos Sur -- Governor Luis "Chavit" Singson, a candidate fo r senator in the administrationâs Team Unity, said Saturday a group of Ilocano associations will not be including another TU candidate, Michael Defensor, on s ample ballots that it will be distributing.
Singson and Defensor are reportedly feuding because Defensor had al legedly suggested that Singson give up his TU slot in favor of indicted coup pl otter Gregorio Honasan, an independent senatorial candidate, because the govern or was doing poorly in the pre-election surveys. Singson said the Confederation of Ilocano Associations (CIA), which boasts 2.3 million members nationwide, would drop Defensor's name from their sample ballot .So, what do you think will be the outcome of this "feud"? Will they kiss and ma ke up in time?

Chavit is Chavit. He is of the old school, circa Al Capone. Either you are a fr
iend or an enemy. No shades in between. Tol has earned his ire so he called up
his loyal vassals to junk Tol, braces and all.
Now imagine if Chavit is there in the Senate, (it is safe to imagine, he will n
ever get there anyway), woe unto any of his colleague that would dare oppose hi
s ideas. He would forever oppose him too.
If Tol believes that Chavit really has a clout on this 2.3million strong CIA, t
hen Tol should really really strive to win back Chavit's good graces. And then
if Tol wins, (heaven forbid), Chavit could always claim that he sent Tol to the
Senate.
If Tol believes that Chavit is just plucking a name (CIA) and figure (2.3M) fro
m thin air, then Tol should let Chavit rant and rave and leave Chavit on his ow
n daydream. And then when Tol losses, (which is very likely anyway), Chavit wil
l have a derisive laugh and attribute the loss to the withdrawal of support of
the Chavit-loyal CIA.
But then of course PGMA can patch things up and make both of them kiss and shak
e hands. That would then bring them back to where they are before. At a losing
end and looking at the butts of their fellow candidates.
So again, who cares?
Well, with the nature of Defensor who is a person who will do everything just t
o get what he wants, I think its about time that he learned to shout his mouth.
I would rather vote for Chavit than Defensor. Pareho silang trapo pero I have
to choose the lesser evil.
That's the problem with Mike. Same with his aunt. They seem can't keep their mo
uth shut. They will always force their 2 cents worth of logic and reasons on ev
ery topics unsolicited. Not surprised he reach the corridors of power in such a
short time. He talk his way up to became Gloria's favorite toyboy.

I would rather vote for the Kapatiran that opt for these two wannabes. Kinda s
ense that this guys just want to hug the limelight. Media mileage for FREE!
One is a backstabber of the former president. The other is a buttkisser of the
present one. Bottomline is I would never vote for these two. Thank heavens the
surveys don't seem to appreciate their too much media exposure. Alas, the only
thing that gives them a knack at winning is their allegiance to the GMA. Garci

It's crab mentality and for sure, they'll drag each other down the pits. I hope
that voters realize to choose candidates with real and noble intentions to hel
p and progress our country. Thus, we should scrutinize the candidates integrity
, past accomplishment and his/her future plans. Let us shy away from traditiona
l politicians who pays people to win elections, silences opponents and lords ov
er others. These politicians days are over!

nsor open his decomposing lips, much to the the annoyance of a shady underworld
boss masquerading as a governor.
These two are among the least desirable people to become senators. Thankfully o
ur kababayans have seen how Tol and Chavit have conducted themselves in power.
Along with Pichay and hopefully Sotto... I'd be very happy not to see (atleast
the 4 of) them sitting in front on the next SONA.
