THERE are disturbing reports regarding vote buying in Caba, La Union this Elect
ion Day. I heard from my sources that those competing for mayoral positions wer
e giving people 500 to 1, 000 pesos.
I hope the authorities investigate this as soon as possible. The municipality o
f Caba does not deserve to be led by a leader who won his/her position through
vote buying.

Vote buying between two opponents in
Butuan City is very rampant. Fake money has already circulated in the vicinity
to buy votes among the people.
Hello.
Politicians who buy a vote before or after during election day should not be de
served to lead the community as there's a possibly massive corruption in the ne
xt few years of his/her service. thanks.
No one talks about the coercion and blackmail that teachers and government empl
oyees are subject to. They are told that the politicians in power can and will
find out for whom they voted and that, if they vote for the "wrong" candidate t
hey, their families and friends will lose their jobs or be transferred to remot
e areas.
Why are the media so discreet about this?
Why is there no voter education and protection in these millions of cases?
ive come across this blog www.filipinolesbian.blogspot.com with an entry on vot
e buying... there are pictures too.
tsk tsk tsk
vox populi vox dei... the voice of the people is the voice of God. Money is god
. Truly, money dictates who will win.
thanks for useful information!
