Arrogance in the midst of triumph?

LIKE every patriotic citizen, am awaiting every update on the national and loca l canvassing of votes. Am interested not only in those who will barge into the Magic 12; equally important is the "attitude" of the early leaders, tailenders and their supporters. These news articles from INQUIRER.net caught my attention: I listened with admiration to this guy as he debated with his counterparts duri ng the campaign trail. I would willingly vote for him if he ran for senator. However, with these reports, I don't know if this is reflective of the group h e represents. Is this plain arrogance, a childish reaction or the guy is just tired and has b een experiencing a lot of stress lately? The events that will unfold in the next few days may give us the answer.

You observation is as good as mine. You can't really expect something good anym
ore either from our political leaders and their chihua-huas. All of them stinks
! Just wait and observe what will happen in the senate and congress again once
all those winners are proclaimed. The main reason why most of our coutrymen are
leaving abroad because they sick and tired of our leaders. The Philippines is
becoming hopeless.......

Sonnie:

Just to let you know that I'm GO supporter, And I can't hardly wait for the res
ult. As we all can see,... Gloria Arroyo, And her cronies doing everything in
their power to succeed on their cheating.

Don't tell me, There is none! Cheating this election is worse compare in 2004.
I just hope that they're not going to succeed. Otherwise she gonna have more pr
oblem.

I admire Adel Tamano, I honestly do. But I don't know what he can do. I hope th
e guy will be given his break.

The TU 12-0 election results in maguindanao reflects where we are as a nation.
To the current administration, there is no such thing as integrity and honesty,
staring from the top, that 'Garci scam' says it all. Wala ng delicadeza!

Where are we heading as a nation???? The partial result of the election is a bi
g disappointment!!!!!! It boggles my mind that a lot of people opted to vote f
or Trillanes and Gringo Honasan rather than Zubiri, Magsaysay and Defensor!!! G
ranting that they are allied with the administration but hey!!! they have bette
r credentials than Honasan and Trillanes!!!

What in heavens could this blasted individuals offer our country??????? Another
coup... if they won't be able to get what they want.....!!!

What the heck is going on with us? Should Trillanes become senator, I'm out of
this country!!!

don't be bothered at all! that's how democracy works! if you would open your ey
es then you can see that the people have their own mind set that may be differe
nt from yours and yet they are still a part of the democratic society.
why hate these people? what's the use? hatred begets hatred. try to understand
why?
i suggest (i just hope i'm right) that what really happened is that they got th
e sympathy votes from the oppressed filipino people.
know what? if you're just an ordinary citizen without anybody to cling to then
you're nothing. you can be easily tricked or be accused of something that you d
idn't do.
for these people who had committed rebellion, they simply got sympathy votes wh
ose hearts were merciful enough to see their plight! they have exposed this for
m of graft and corruption and they lead a revolt which failed and were jailed.
God had His ways done sometimes mysteriously.
if you're a rich citizen with strong backers then no one can arrest you in our
present system of government even if you have committed a crime.
it is always the poor, the innocent who got the blame. prove to me that i'm wro
ng!

When recovery of the once a great nation, Philippines, was close to impossibili
ty, I am one of those who prefer to be called Asian rather than Pinoy, in a cou
ntry I call my home in America. But, in all honesty it hurts to deny your roo
ts, but, how can I be proud of a nation filled with corruption and unruly elect
ion....like this one on 2007. Its a shame! I can't blame our countrymen fleein
g our country....same goes to my parents who decided once and for all to leave.

"Daig mo pa ang mabahong isda, ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika!!!We
must love our country regardless...Losing hope is worse than death!Im sorry th
at our country brought so much shame in you,so much so to such extent that you
are denying your roots. My friend go out and see the world and you will discover
that there is more to us filipinos other than what you see in CNN,FOX,ABC etc.
I have lived in 5 different countries including US.I have seen the best and the
worse in those "progressive countries" and a learning experience for me as a
person, and in the end it made me proud that I am a Filipino and I came from the
Philippines!!!

i don't think arrogance is the issue here. it is more on what is true.

tingnan nalang natin kung ano magagawa ng mga GO senators sa senate..basta ako
GMA parin..at saka tingnan nalng natin ang magagawa ni gagong cayetano...puro l
ng dakdak wala namang nagawa...salot yan sa lipunan!

PLease dont trash the Philippines just because you didnt get the outcomes you h
ad hoped for. The US and Australia have their own Baho that they should not be
proud of- the way they trat non-whites. I am proud to have refused migration to
the US because its te country that has kept the rest of the world poor, ignora
nt and wanting.

o majority na ang opposition sa senate, hehep, horay......

nag aaway away na sila kung sino ang magiging senate president, unahan na sa mg
a juicy positions at magagandang committe.......
