the music is 'let me try again'.......
another coup, hindi na puede, part ka na ng bulok na systema. umayos ka na ng g
alaw at pananalita. be ready to face and engage the other 22 senators in an int
ellectual debate.

the placard says 'trillanes maging tapat sa masa'.......
o yung mga pangako mo sa masa, huwag mo kalilimutan. naksandal sa iyong mga pan
gako ang mga bumoto sa iyo, tuparin mo lahat.

THE EUPHORIA OF WINNING IS NOW OVER....

YOU SHOULD NOW WORK TO FULLFILL YOUR PROMISES TO THE PEOPLE....

CAN YOU FORMULATE YOUR PROMISES INTO BILLS THAT WILL BENIFIT THE MASA.....

DEBATE... DEBATE .... TO PASS YOUR SPONSORED BILLS.....

KAYA MO KAYA ICONVINCE YOUR FOLLOW SENATORS TO ACCEPT YOUR BILLS.....

GOD HELP YOU.....

Mas lalaki lang ang ulo nyan..

While it is true that Trillanes being now a senator cannot affect in any way hi
s status being detained accused of a non-bailable offense, the moral argument o
f the voice of the 11 million cannot be taken for granted, hence his situation
cannot be equated with the other detainees who were not elected by a voice of 1
1 million Filipinos.

The resources to be spent for the amenities like communication and office gadge
ts are to incurred from his allowances and salary as a senator. So why would h
e be deprived to function as an elected senator while in his detention cell ?

We should remember that up to this time, he is still an accused given the benef
it of the presumption of innocense until proven otherwise.

If the treatment would remain to bar him from his sworn duties as a Senator of
the Republic, it is tantamount to depriving the peoples honest will on that suf
frage day.

"Vox Populi Vox Dei est suprima lex". -The voice of the people is the voice of
God and it is the supreme law.

the reason why this man should not be allowed to perform senate duties is simpl
e: he denied several hundred unarmed citizens their right to freedom by taking
them hostage, including my family. in a normal society this would have meant th
at he could not even have run for office for being the common criminal he is

and the other 30 million people did not vote for him so what was the will of th
e people again?

Unfortunately we do not live in a normal society in the Philippines. With the c
onstant attempts of the administration to destroy Philippine democracy and it's
failure to curb or at times even defending allies in corruption, the result is
what it is right now.

If the AFP at the outset was vigorous in eradicating corruption in their ranks
(i.e. like the Gen. Garcia scandal who was later given a light sentence, etc.),
this would not have reached the proportion it is now.

Now they have a lot of ground to cover to redeem their lost honor in their inst
itution.

Biktima,
First of all I'm sorry about your family.
Second, We all know that nobody got hurt in Oakwood. I know where you coming fr
om, but you can't give a comment base on that, because you will be bias.
Third, If there's 30 million pinoys who didn't or couldn't write Trillanes in t
heir ballot it doesn't mean they didn't like him to win. here's some reasons wh
y:
1)they didn't know he was running ( he was in jail the whole time)probably 15 m
il pinoys didn't he was running.
2)Low budget, no funds, no vote buying fund, no advertising , no banners, speci
ally in the provinces.
3)If 30 million votes are against him there should have been some 30 million in
one of those TU senator bets ( the most is Angara w/c is around 14 mil only).
4)some of that 30 mil probably got him above 12 but not against him.
5)some of that probably been bought
6)some of that was cheated
etc...

Gen. Garciaâs wife, kids disappear; lawyers withdraw

By Sandy Araneta
Thursday, July 5, 2007

The lawyers for the wife and children of retired Maj. Gen. Carlos Garcia urged
the Sandiganbayan yesterday to withdraw their services as defense counsels for
the family in the plunder case.

Lawyers Rainier Madrid and Alvin Carullo said they could not effectively repres
ent their clients since Clarita Depakakibo-Garcia and her children Ian Carl, Ju
an Paulo and Timothy Mark Garcia disappeared shortly after they were included i
n the plunder case on April 6, 2005.

Garcia is accused of amassing P303.27 million in ill-gotten wealth during his y
ears in the military.

His wife and children were implicated for allegedly acting as conduits and help
ing him conceal the ill-gotten wealth.

The whole family has been named defendants in two ill-gotten wealth lawsuits pe
nding before the Sandiganbayanâs Fourth Division.

All this nonsense about the big number of votes for the candidate detained unde
r luxurious circumstances. Letâs get some things straight:

11 million votes
40 million plus voters

if people were allowed only one vote for a senator each it still means 75% of t
he voters do not want this man in public office

people could cast their votes for 12 candidatesâ¦â¦

so the vast majority does not want this man in public officeâ¦

I look at Trillanes as a flicker in the dark in one of the most corrupt institu
tions in the Philippines which is the Armed Forces, an institution that is supp
osed to be neutral but is under the beck and call of a President who desperatel
y hangs with one finger because of legitimacy question. You see, they need each
other. Because they need each other...they tolerate the corruption that each o
ther does.

logico,

11million for trillanes, out of 40million voters.
what about 14million for loren legarda? does your calculation means 26millions
voters does'nt want loren at all?
the figures says they got the majority of votes...and that was the people's man
date...kaya nga they were among the 12 winiing candidates..may ibang figures pa
bang dapat i-consider?

logico, the essence of elections in a democracy is how many people want a perso
n IN office.

There are no electoral mechanism we use today nor ballots which describes or ar
e designed to vote a person NOT to be in office.

If we use your logic, many presidents of the Philippines would not be in office
at all including Gloria (although even today her electoral win is still in pra
ctical dispute)

Highly illogical; a Socio-Political Philosopher Professor would have booted you
out of class for such a statement.

Three issues that could launch Trillanes into the presidency if he can find a w
ay to address them:

1. the Big Three oil cartel of CALTEX, SHELL and PETRON; contrary to the real i
ntention of the deregulation, these three dictated the oil prices such that the
se prices no longer reflect the real price of the commodity else where; in Indo
nesia, gasoline is about US$0.50, in RP it's almost US$1.00;
2. the involuntary double transmission of text messages by both SMART and GLOBE
, resulting in involuntary double charging; @ P1 per SIM per day @ 10M SIMs, th
at translates to P10M/day or P3.65B.year;
3. the continued use of most big companies (Jollibee, McDonald's, SM, etc.) of
contractual labor, mostly from the students' ranks; this practice allows these
companies to avoid company unions, giving salary increases, and providing benef
its to their employees; and to think that these are among the biggest earning c
ompanies in the country!

Address these issues (at the risk of going against BIG BUSINESS) and you will b
e on your way to being President of this country!

I think my post addressed to Senator Trillnes (tips for him to become President
)was deleted. Has the long arm of Big Business reached this blog already? Tsk t
sk tsk.

How come my posts on this thread always disappear?

sen. trillanes ito lang ang masasabi ko, make sure your mother didnot corrupt a
ny AFP officer when she still a supplier in the AFP.

TO ALL
I know this to be out of place. Please bear with me. I just want to create aw
areness by choosing the busy forum or the latest.
Do consider Dr. Martin Bautista for the next elections obviously (a senatorial
candidate of âAng Kapatiranâ together with Adrian Sison and Zosimo Paredes). H
eâs a 44-year-old gastroenterologist in the US who came home after 17 years. Y
ou can see from his background that he truly means service. For those who find
him to be a hypocrite for working abroad, do understand heâs a family man who
needs to sustain his family, that he will be able to keep his independence by n
ot relying on public funds to support his family. He helps his countrymen in h
is capacity but itâs just not enough for there are millions of Filipinos. Itâs
a good start in Philippine Politics to have him and his party around.
I urge you to forward/text/inform all your contacts about them. I believe they
only lack exposure thatâs why Iâm doing this. But I canât do it alone so Iâm
appealing to everyoneâs help. If all will inform their contacts about them and
urge them as well to forward, we might hit a million.
We cannot afford to be indifferent now if we want meaningful change. Otherwise
we only have ourselves to blame. BUT TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

BTW, Iâve posted this on the different topics just to be sure.
