the music is ‘let me try again’…….
another coup, hindi na puede, part ka na ng bulok na systema. umayos ka na ng galaw at pananalita. be ready to face and engage the other 22 senators in an intellectual debate.

the placard says ‘trillanes maging tapat sa masa’…….
o yung mga pangako mo sa masa, huwag mo kalilimutan. naksandal sa iyong mga pangako ang mga bumoto sa iyo, tuparin mo lahat.

THE EUPHORIA OF WINNING IS NOW OVER….

YOU SHOULD NOW WORK TO FULLFILL YOUR PROMISES TO THE PEOPLE….

CAN YOU FORMULATE YOUR PROMISES INTO BILLS THAT WILL BENIFIT THE MASA…..

DEBATE… DEBATE …. TO PASS YOUR SPONSORED BILLS…..

KAYA MO KAYA ICONVINCE YOUR FOLLOW SENATORS TO ACCEPT YOUR BILLS…..

GOD HELP YOU…..

While it is true that Trillanes being now a senator cannot affect in any way his status being detained accused of a non-bailable offense, the moral argument of the voice of the 11 million cannot be taken for granted, hence his situation cannot be equated with the other detainees who were not elected by a voice of 11 million Filipinos.

The resources to be spent for the amenities like communication and office gadgets are to incurred from his allowances and salary as a senator. So why would he be deprived to function as an elected senator while in his detention cell ?

We should remember that up to this time, he is still an accused given the benefit of the presumption of innocense until proven otherwise.

If the treatment would remain to bar him from his sworn duties as a Senator of the Republic, it is tantamount to depriving the peoples honest will on that suffrage day.

the reason why this man should not be allowed to perform senate duties is simple: he denied several hundred unarmed citizens their right to freedom by taking them hostage, including my family. in a normal society this would have meant that he could not even have run for office for being the common criminal he is

biktima

and the other 30 million people did not vote for him so what was the will of the people again?

Unfortunately we do not live in a normal society in the Philippines. With the constant attempts of the administration to destroy Philippine democracy and it’s failure to curb or at times even defending allies in corruption, the result is what it is right now.

If the AFP at the outset was vigorous in eradicating corruption in their ranks (i.e. like the Gen. Garcia scandal who was later given a light sentence, etc.), this would not have reached the proportion it is now.

Now they have a lot of ground to cover to redeem their lost honor in their institution.

Biktima,
First of all I’m sorry about your family.
Second, We all know that nobody got hurt in Oakwood. I know where you coming from, but you can’t give a comment base on that, because you will be bias.
Third, If there’s 30 million pinoys who didn’t or couldn’t write Trillanes in their ballot it doesn’t mean they didn’t like him to win. here’s some reasons why:
1)they didn’t know he was running ( he was in jail the whole time)probably 15 mil pinoys didn’t he was running.
2)Low budget, no funds, no vote buying fund, no advertising , no banners, specially in the provinces.
3)If 30 million votes are against him there should have been some 30 million in one of those TU senator bets ( the most is Angara w/c is around 14 mil only).
4)some of that 30 mil probably got him above 12 but not against him.
5)some of that probably been bought
6)some of that was cheated
etc…

Gen. Garcia’s wife, kids disappear; lawyers withdraw

By Sandy Araneta
Thursday, July 5, 2007

The lawyers for the wife and children of retired Maj. Gen. Carlos Garcia urged the Sandiganbayan yesterday to withdraw their services as defense counsels for the family in the plunder case.

Lawyers Rainier Madrid and Alvin Carullo said they could not effectively represent their clients since Clarita Depakakibo-Garcia and her children Ian Carl, Juan Paulo and Timothy Mark Garcia disappeared shortly after they were included in the plunder case on April 6, 2005.

Garcia is accused of amassing P303.27 million in ill-gotten wealth during his years in the military.

His wife and children were implicated for allegedly acting as conduits and helping him conceal the ill-gotten wealth.

The whole family has been named defendants in two ill-gotten wealth lawsuits pending before the Sandiganbayan’s Fourth Division.

logico

All this nonsense about the big number of votes for the candidate detained under luxurious circumstances. Let’s get some things straight:

11 million votes
40 million plus voters

if people were allowed only one vote for a senator each it still means 75% of the voters do not want this man in public office

people could cast their votes for 12 candidates……

so the vast majority does not want this man in public office…
