Fatal1ty to host Championship Gaming Series
Experience the thrills of world-class video gaming as STAR WORLD presents the exclusive premiere of the Championship Gaming Series (CGS) on Sat 8 Sept at 7pm.
Each week CGS stages showdowns between the world’s top professional gamers. The competition covers regional championship games from the US, Latin America, the UK, Europe and Asia. Throughout the season, the cyber athletes will battle each other in the four chosen CGS games??“Counter-Strike Source,? “Dead Or Alive 4,? “FIFA 2007? and “Project Gotham Racing.? In the season finale, five regional champions will head to Los Angeles to vie for the World Championship title.
The league is structured as a professional competition and has expert commentary from superstar gamer Jonathan “Fatal1ty? Wendel. “I’ll be studying all the players,? says Wendel. “I’ll talk about them, like what they are good at, their strengths, their weaknesses, and what they are going to do for their team. I will try to evaluate which team has the best possible chance to go all the way to the world finals and win it all.?
Slickly produced and expertly executed, the CGS will intrigue and excite non-gamers as well. “Most people are stereotyping gamers for sitting around all day. But most of us are athletes, too,? Wendel explains. “We all played sports growing up, and when we are in the game we use the same tactics, skills and mindsets to trick your opponents.?
Let the games begin on Star World as the Championship Gaming Series premieres exclusively on Sat 8 Sept at 7pm.
