Perfect World: ‘Soulless army’ invades Pangu cities

Open beta players of Level Up! Games’ latest massively multiplayer online role-playing game Perfect World were treated to (threatened with?) an afternoon of mayhem as the hordes of soulless monsters invaded the four major cities and quite a number of towns in the world of Pangu.

The battles for the cities of Sword, Feather, and Beast proved relatively easy for the now-veteran players of Perfect World, with all of the summoned monsters, dubbed “Soulless,” got what they had comingâ€???hundreds of arrows both ironsmith-sold and magical, an equal number of virulent and fiery curses, and thousands of blows, nicks and cuts from hammers, axes, swords, polearms, claws, fang, beaks and talons.

Despite being relatively short-lived, the attack was spectacular. If not for the lag most players experienced during the hour-long carnage, things would’ve been much more exciting. Here are some screenshots of the Battle of Dragon City West courtesy of Yao Jing Malystryx.
