AS part of its launch activities, the newest game portal in the country, MyGame.ph, is holding two contests with over PhP700,000 in prizes.

Beginning February 14, registered users to their portal may enter the Soldier of Fortune Raffle. The game is open to all gamers from the Philippines. By simply registering at MyGame.ph and playing their free-to-play first-person shooter Special Force Online for at least nine hours, players are automatically entered in the free raffle.

“This is just the start. We have plans to come up with an even bigger contest with much bigger prizes in the future,” said Nikolai Galicia, director for Marketing of MicroGaming Technologies Corp., the online game publisher behind MyGame.ph

Prizes include one Xbox 360, one Nokia N95 cell phone, one iPod Touch 8GB, one Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), and five Nokia 6070 cell phones. Ten winners will also get Burger King gift certificates worth P500 and fifteen winners will get Starbucks gift certificates worth P200. The contest will run from February 14 to March 31.

Internet cafe owners on the other hand also get their own contest with the MyGame Café Community Rewards Contest.

To enter the contest, cafe owners need to register at http://mcc.mygame.ph/ (this demo site is a temporary one and is still under construction) for their Cafe Code which they then ask new users to include in their registration details during account creation. The more players a cafe refers, the more points it gets. They can track their points through the MCC website.

Prizes for the MCC Rewards Contest include P200,000 in cash, a Boracay vacation package, a Toshiba laptop, a Nokia N95 cell phone, an Xbox 360, an iPod Touch, and a Sony 21″ TV, among others. This promo will run from March 1 to June 30.
