RF Online Episode 2: Crimson Dawn was officially launched Wednesday at a press event in Makati. The next patch for the sci-fi massively multiplayer online role-playing game includes a graphics upgrade, and new maps, weapons and armor.
One of the most awaited new objects in the game is nuclear weapons. Yes, the sweetest three little words a warmonger can hear: weapons of mass destruction (okay, so technically it’s four).
In a Chip War (the mass combat aspect of RF Online) the leader can launch a nuclear weapon into the battlefield and decimate the opposing forces. No friendly force gets hurt and fallout damage is in effect for 300 seconds. Very, very effective tactical maneuver, considering the opposing force only gets a few seconds’ notice before they glow in the dark.
As for the new items, the Accretia get Inferno Siege Kits; the Cora, Army Grade Animus and Sealed Animus; and the Bellato, the Red MAU (Massive Armor Unit).
The patch also includes all-new Dark Weapons, Dark Armor and relics for everyone. The game level cap has been raised to Level 55 also and new areas are available, namely the Cartela Biolab, Outcast Lands, Beast Mountain, and Hora the Dark Hall.
“These are just some of the new features of the Crimson Dawn patch. There are still the new item mall inventory, monsters, and guild modifications,” said Keith Morales, Level Up! brand manager of RF Online.
“You have to try it to believe it. Let’s take just the nuke for example: Imagine it, two armies clashing in the middle of a field, then: without warning, ‘Nuclear Warhead has been launched!’ Patay! Panic time! The Chip Wars will never be the same again,” he added.

Malalakas nga ang Bells at Acc, pero wala makunat sa Red Isis… Dada Fah kaung lahat kahit ilan pa kau sa harapan sabay sabay kaung hahalik sa lupa.
One man army lang kaya kau, eh ang cora 2 man army ahehehe…. Caster at Isis sabay na bumabanat… Caster AOE at Red Isis heavy damage. Kaya cguradong DAFA kahit sing kunat pa kau ng kalabaw.
