WITH a blazing speed of 9 minutes and 24 seconds, Philippine Team (Team PH) member Ayhin dealt the coup de grace to the Chinese Team’s King for Team PH’s win at the Supreme Destiny World Championship League. This win gives Team PH at a chance for a tie with leading team Korea, and a sure shot at the quarterfinals.
Team PH was the blue team for this match, with China, um, playing red (talk about coincidences). As usual, Team PH showed solidarity with the full field of 26 team members and four reserves present. China had to deal with only 18 members on its team.
“It’s surprising,” said Sonny Carlos, IP e-Games product manager for Supreme Destiny. “We were expecting a full field from China.”
“Hindi naman sa nagyayabang pero parang sinagasaan ng Team PH ang Team China eh,” Carlos added.
According to reports, Team PH used the same strategy that gained them the win versus Brazil recently. The team spread into three commander hunter-killer teams, reformed into a barrack siege unit, and after one barrack went down, broke into two teams, one for barrack siege and another to take down the King.
The strategy of China was to break into two teams with one immediately going for the King and the other taking down the barracks that strengthen the King. Though they were able to take down the first barrack at the same time that Team PH also took down their first barrack, Team China was unable to sustain the attack.
“By the time the game ended, Team PH’s second barrack was still at 80 percent life and the king was at 90 percent life,” Carlos shared. “They were only able to kill one commander. Nakakatuwa na some members of Team PH were protecting the commanders this time, parang utang na loob for one of them helping last time with Brazil.”
The next scheduled match is Team PH versus the “strong team” Korea. The match will be held at the Team PH headquarters at i-Hooked Katipunan at 7 p.m.
“Crucial ang next na laban. It’s the last match for Team PH before the semifinals. If we win versus Korea, we gain a tie for the lead. If we lose, we’re still a shoo-in for the quarterfinals,” Carlos said.
Supreme Destiny is a medieval massively multiplayer online role-playing game locally distributed by IP e-Games.
The Supreme Destiny World Championship League was organized by With Your Destiny Global. At stake is a total of $10,000 in cash prizes and rare in-game items.
