Hug someone

Posted under Everyday Good Stuff

Give me some hugsWHEN was the last time you hugged someone? Hugs are a wonderful way to show your affection for someone. It’s a sure way to boost warmth and comfort for the receiver. Think about the last time you were hugged by someone. Didn’t you feel loved? Didn’t you feel better? The effects of a hug come quickly, and who wouldn’t want to feel much better right away!

But hug with care! It’s best to give that hug to someone you already have established a relationship with. Some people, while close to you, may not be the tactile-type and will avoid any form of physical contact with you whatsoever. Don’t take offense with that! Choose carefully who you give out those hugs to. Maybe you can show your affection to these hug-resistant folks another way!

So go hug someone today. And why not ask that person to hug someone else too? Pass on the hugs, pass on the love. It’s quick, it’s free and it comforts like no other physical act.

Nice subject. To appreciate more on this interesting topic, please wiki re: the late Felice Leonardo “Leo” Buscaglia (bos-calia) who devoted most of his lectures and writing about LOVE. Yakap, sabay’ahg!

My wife and I have this habit of giving each other a hug after office hours, when we are in the car at the parking lot. It just melts all the work fatigue away.

Last Sunday, during the sermon, the priest shared us a story about newborn twins wherein one of the twins was not doing to well after birth and was not expected to live.

Against normal hospital regulations, one of the nurses decided to put the twins together into one incubator. Once joined, the healthier twin reached out to her sick sister and gave her a hug.

The effect of this HUG was remarkable as the dying twin rapidly recovered was soon out of danger and was able to go home.

I wish people at work would hug more. Maybe they wouldn’t be so boring all the time. Sometimes i use my patented “sneak attack” hug, just to shake things up.

Although, I’m a hug-resistant as you may call, but times like this (when things get rough) a simple hug is enough for me to know that i’m still not alone.

I’m a big hugger! And when my husband forgets to hug me in the mornings after we wake up I always complain that I feel “unhugged” so he quickly makes up for his oversight :) Thanks for your article on one of the most basic human needs!

I almost forgot the feeling of hugging someone. Thanks to your article, I feel like hugging all my family members and friends. More power hugs for you toni!!!

It’s been a while since a lover hugged me. He’s actually my officemate. It’s raining outside and I feel I really need a sweet and warm embrace. Since he’s just around, I asked him to hug me tight. Thanks to your article :)
