September Issue is Out!

September’s m|ph is Out!

Issue No. 9The September issue of m|ph is now out at your friendly magazine stands! This issue centers on the aspects of digital photography, with features on professionals who use digital cameras, the thinning line between digital SLRs and digital prosumer cameras, and setting up your own digital photo workstation. You’ll also get a feel of one of the most incredible digital cameras in the market, the Canon Mark II.

But wait, there’s more! There’s a primer on batteries for mobile devices, setting up your wireless email, and a discussion of Nokia’s Series 40 phones.

And of course there are the device reviews! Get to know the Archos AV400 personal digital video recorder, as well as the Sony Ericsson K700, the Samsung SGH-E600, and the Motorola E398 cell phones. There’s also the Aiptek PocketDV 3500 all-in-one device, the Samsung SCD250 digital videocam, and the TwinMOS Go2Music P11 MP3 player.

And since this issue is dedicated to digital photography, we review digital cameras as well! Learn about the Canon EOS 300D, the Sony Cybershot DSC-P150, the Samsung V5, the Nikon D70 and the Canon Powershot Pro 1.

The Mobile Snaps ContestLastly, if you love taking pictures using your digital device, do join our Mobile Snaps Contest! Every issue for the next few months, m|ph in partnership with GBX shall be choosing the best set of shots as submitted by our readers. If we choose your shots, you get to win a pair of GBX shoes! So even if you don’t love taking pictures but own a device that has a digital camera on it, then this is a pretty good excuse to start getting snap-happy!

i just want to rant a little. no, i will not complain about the size, i guess that here to stay and no amount of complaining will change that =) it’s about my other mph pet peeve. read on…

i just got my copy of september’s mph and i’m starting to read it but i can’t get past page 8 (actually, i haven’t even started with page 8 yet) the smell is just too much, and it is no exaggeration when i say that i had to stop because i was getting dizzy. =( so now i’ve left the magazine in the corner to “air out” and i’ll try to get back to it later when hopefully the smell will be a bit more bearable. can you guys do anything about the smell?

cool!!! i’m gonna get myself a copy, right about now!!!:-)

hi shadow, i know what you mean.

we’ll definitely take a look (and smell?) at that. hey editors, a long time ago dial soap did a promo where they spilled some dial soap perfume on the newspaper printer vat … the results were .. refreshing :D

@t-tard: my son had the same reaction… I don’t think he likes the aroma of a freshly printed m|ph. :)

Tech Overload
I was reading through the m|ph website when I was suddenly hit by a feeling which only happens after spinning myself silly in my adjustable chair and suddenly standing up — NAUSEA.

And no, it has nothing to do with the noted “smell” of the freshl…

first time here. . .looks pretty cool!!! nothing against the mag. just hoping volts will award me a free one-year subscription. mine will expire soon. so i won’t get lost.

I just finish reading your issue. The articles are very informative especially the Power UP and the power saving tips. This is usually something least considered when buying gadgets. By the way as for the Wireless e-mail access i can’t get seem to get it to work with my phone. Hope you can assist.

More power and keep up the good work. I will be renewing my subscription next month.

tell you what, its either m-ph is running out of funds or m-ph is an apple-in-my-eye for the manufacturers out there. why did i say this? man, look at the sept issue, if the right side is a regular cloumn… the other side is an advertisement. gosh. its like watching a tv. too many advertisements.
