Introductions: Sacha Chua

Hello, everyone!

I’m Sacha Chua, open source geekette and m|ph guest blogger for the month of June. I’ll be writing on a twice-weekly schedule (Wednesday and Friday), so check back often!

Wearable computing geek When m|ph asked me if I could guest-blog, they probably remembered me as the wearable computing geek who wandered around with a
head-mounted display. Little did they know I’d come a long way from my gadget-oriented pursuits.

“I don’t blog about gadgets or high tech,” I warned them. “I write about productivity and what people can do with what they have.”

“Sure. You’ll bring balance,” they said.

(What, balance to the Force?)

Over the next few weeks, you’ll hear about podcasting and productivity, free software and fun gizmos that will expand your mind without hurting your pocket. I’m here to share some tips and help you kick ass with whatever technology you can get your hands on.

To give you a sneak preview of what’s up ahead, here’s my
favorite portable device: the Hipster PDA.

Geekette In m|ph Brings Balance To The Force
My dear friend, Sacha Chua, is blogger for the month of June over at the m|ph website. Do take a visit as she talks about everything… non-gadgety!

Wow! she makes me realize some us readers and bloggers of m|ph are pseudo geeks.

Oh, there’s nothing pseudo about us. Geekiness isn’t about buying gadgets, after all. I know some incredibly geeky and fun people who can do insane things with a piece of paper.

I’ll be watching out for your entries. I always believed that having the best and latest gadget doesn’t matter if it doesn’t make your life easier and more productive. You may have the snazziest gizmo around but if it makes your life more complicated and all you can do is play games with it, then that is wasted technology. Productivity is the primary goal of my gadgets.

Best Regards, sacha!
