iPhone Coming to Ten More Countries

Thanks to Vodafone, ten more countries are set to officially be blessed with the release of the iPhone. These are Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. While no exact dates were given as to when the touted Jesus Phone will make its appearance in each country, Vodafone assures iPhone-fanboys that it will definitely be this year. With this latest development, I’m beginning to wonder when the iPhone will officially be released in the Philippines or if it will ever be unveiled in the local market.

Vodafone is actually a roaming partner of Globe Telecommunications. So, one might ask, is it safe to assume that Globe will be the exclusive local network provider of Apple? No. While Globe does have a partnership with Vodafone, it does not grant them the same privilege, and if you look at the list mentioned above, those are countries that have Vodafone as company present in their local market. They’re not just partner networks.

So the question on who will bring the iPhone to the Philippines is still up in the air, but with the way things are going, I’m slowly beginning to care less and I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one growing weary of the long wait.

You’re right. I’m also growing tired of waiting for the arrival of iPhone.

Some of those who can’t wait anymore are just buying the latest Nokia or Sony Ericsson phones.

I think you dont have to wait for iPhone. I’m here in the US and I owned an iPhone. Basically it’s a cool phone and i’ts very high tech but being a pinoy who uses text messaging most of the time, i find it hard to type messages using one hand. Even using both hands is difficult either. You really have to stop from doing anything while typing a messages. Though it’s packed of features still it doesnt have a video.

WOOHOO!!! the iPhone is finally coming to New Zealand. Too bad it took so long. The iPhone 2.0 will come soon.
