HTC shows off its Diamond

HTC has finally unveiled to the public its latest mobile device, the Touch Diamond. It’s the latest addition to their Touch Phone line which is composed of the Touch, Touch Dual and Touch Cruise. The Diamond joins the HTC Touch family It looks like a simplified Touch Cruise that’s a bit more angular. It comes in a sleek black finish with a large, brilliant 2.8-inch touch screen. The rear design adds a little flare with its geometric pattern that’s somewhat reminiscent of Nokia’s Prism phones. Personally, I find the design to be a bit too boring for my taste, but minimalists will surely appreciate the simplicity in its design. Simple in blackPrism-like finish Underneath its slim exterior lies 4GB of storage, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus at the rear and a secondary camera at the front. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and features Touch FLO 3D both of which adds for a unique user experience with its fresh new graphic interface. We’re looking forward to reviewing this new touch screen enabled device, but for those who just can’t wait, you can check out Engadget’s take on the Diamond.

I used to own a Blackberry Pearl and was looking for a new phone, which for me, had to be able to deliver all the great functionality of a Blackberry and add in some connectivity options that I really missed in the Pearl. Usable software, excellent connectivity, small form factor and good looks are my main demands in a phone and basically the Diamond was, for me, the perfect blend between the main selling points of both the IPhone and Blackberry models, the two phones I was trying to decide between before running into this gem.

The Diamond looks like a great miniture addition to the HTC range, which is fantastic compared to the big bulky smartphones. Huskies for Sale
