Globe now Accepting 3G iPhone Reservations

It’s finally confirmed. Globe has made their 3G iPhone plans available, and is now accepting reservations for its debut on August 22.

Globe 3G iPhone plans

While I commend Globe for making it accessible across more post-paid plans as opposed to the initial rumored packages, the price is still quite steep considering how much cheaper it is to just get it from a relative or friend who resides in the US. One good thing to note though is the bundled Globe Wiz Wi-Fi hours which might benefit some to a certain extent, but with so many hotspots offering free internet hours, I’m not too sure how appealing this will be to the average Juan dela Cruz.

Anyway, I’m pretty sure that this is nonetheless more acceptable than the current pricing of InfoMaxx. So, if you’ve got the dough, and you’re in dire need of a mobile internet device/phone, then by all means, reserve one now. Text and MMS addicts need not apply.

this is too much!!!! globe just can’t be contented to earn little, it has to earn a killing (from every phone, that is). and all the while i thought the average price anywhere in the world is supposed to be $199 or thereabout.

shame on globe.

What if you already have an existing plan? Same pricing applies?

@elle
better get in touch with them to find out.

Isn’t the iPhone selling only for only $199 or $299 in the US?

SHAME ON GREEDY GLOBE!!!!

this is EXTORTION… i thought carriers are supposed to subsidize this sexy thing… mga ayala talaga oo… tsk tsk tsk…

what?!? globe is so greedy! my God!
all i can say is “greed”
hope someone can moderate their greed..

the $199 price in the us is tied up to an at

what an overkill!their mobile internet services doesn’t even work all that well right now. it is just not worth it.

naku! greedy globe!!!!

i have the old iPhone and it’s still cheap compared to the pricing that Globe is giving…

mahiya naman kayo!

rip off..simply put

ridiculous pricing, a 16GB iphone 3G should not cost over 15K with plan 1599.

The $199 worldwide price comes with a monthly postpaid plan, hindi po unit lang. In the US, I think the monthly postpaid fee is $70 and up, so I guess Globe’s prices are in line with what the other carriers in the world are offering.

This is too expensive for me. I’ll just stick with my ipod touch and smart postpaid plan. :-)

This is very expensive plan, ordinary Juan dela Cruz can not afford the price.

the iPhone is not designed for the ordinary Juan dela Cruz. are you serious about that statement??

this is too much man!!! wait lang natin.. bababa din nila presyo nila!

i’ll just ask my mom to buy me one in the u.s. and have it unlocked here whenever it’s available. haha!

Napakamahal naman, ranging more or less $200 lang yan sa ibang country or worldwide pa nga yata, why dito sa Philippines napakamahal ng presyo!!!!

You will get the excuse na walang stock available, kung black gusto mo-white lang ang meron (and vise-versa) o limited lang yung stock nila dahil di pa daw dumadating yung ibang orders nila from USA (yung mga usual excuses nila).
