Nokia N85 outshines N96

While the Nokia N96 holds a better ranking in the Nseries hierarchy as opposed to the yet-to-be-released N85, a review has confirmed our earlier suspicon that the N85 is better than the N96.

Nokia N85

True, the N96 migh have DVB-H and a larger 8GB internal memory, but these two features aren’t necessarily deal breakers in the greater context of things. DVB-H usage, particulary, is limited to a particular network locally and has very little application internationally. The 16GB capacity, on the other hand, can be addressed by available memory cards in the market. Meanwhile, the N85 does have something that everyone will immediately appreciate and the N96 sorely misses; a brilliant OLED display. Apart from that, they more or less are the same in terms of deisgn and features which makes the N85 seem like a better choice.

However, since the N85 is yet to become available locally, the N96 is still currently the best option as far as Nseries phones go. Nevertheless, if you can muster up enough patience, it would be advisable to wait for the N85’s debut before making any impulse buys at the moment. Provided, of course, that the N85 won’t be more expensive than the N96 when it does go on sale, then it would be definitely be a more suitable alternative to the hyped N96.

it’s worth waiting….

FYI, N96 comes with a built in 16GB phone memory.

i’m happy and satisfied with my n96.

hhhhhoooooooooo
i love this phone, and i really want to have one so please give me one please

is it seriously that MUCH better than N96??

with the prices right now it’s almost a P10,000 difference.

The N96 comes with more features, but not all of them are really of great significance for daily use (ie: mobile TV). At a much lesser price, the N85 comes with a better display which everyone will surely appreciate and comes with most of the features that are found in the N96.

Don’t go for n96 guys coz see what I am facing:
1. Poor battery backup
2. Long Startup Time
3. It hangs very often.
4. It reboots itself very often.
5. The newly added mp3 files are not getting added to the music library.
6. Very often its music keypad stops working and you have to restart the phone to get things back in normal condition.
7. Often its display light gets switched off while using applications like camera or games for little time and then the phone hangs and the only possible option to get things back to normal is take the battery out and then reinsert it as even it become unable to switch it off.
8. Once the phone gets switched off and you switch it on again to find all your log enteries got deleted automatically, no matter that you have not taken out your battery or changed your sim card or not.
9. I have tried my level best but could not understand what is the meaning and use of the built in feature Navi Wheel Breathing.
10. I am unable to get any voice support in Maps and even the application fails to work without gprs however it is expected to work atleast in the open space and now the latest the application stopped to lauch itself even after several aatempts of factory restorations and application re-installations.

I go with n85 since its cheaper and better

How much???
