We’ve got great news for all those Sony Ericsson loyalists and techies who have been patiently waiting for the arrival of the XPERIA X1 locally. We’ve received confirmation that the XPERIA X1 will hit Sony Ericsson concept stores nationwide on Nov. 14, 2008.
Sony Ericsson Philippines will also be putting up a dedicated site for the XPERIA X1 which will go live on November 1 for those who wish to make an advanced reservation to be guaranteed a unit when it becomes available. Of course, this is still on a first-come first-serve basis so it still pays to sign up early. As for its price, let’s just say that P40K will be enough to get you one. For our part, we’re cooking up an XPERIA X1 review as we finally got our grubby hands on one, but it’ll take a little bit of time since this baby’s got a ton of features we’d like to go through first before releasing our take on this long awaited smartphone.
Is it worth the long wait? We'll soon find out. Just stayed tuned as we've got a lot to say as far as the XPERIA X1 is concerned.

Interesting , I hope that it's true - Quite Fascinating! =)
Where did you get this information?? Can you give us a source?
We were infromed of the release date when we were briefed about the XPERIA X1 by Sony Ericsson Philippines officials.
Will it be offered by Smart to their postpaid subscribers?
This release date only takes into account Sony Ericsson concept stores. It's up to the carriers on when they will offer it if they deem it essential to be part of their line-up, but I see no reason why this shouldn't be offered by either Smart or Globe.
great news thansk for the info. but u said nationwide ....so which nation u talkign about and also how much will it cost "p40k" ? didn't got u...since as far as i can think of since u said Sony Ericsson Philippines...is it Peso currnecy and the nation u were talking about was Philippines ? and oh...i am from India...so any news regqarding my country lanching :`)and i was thinking about the sound quality of this phone will it be as good as W series by Sony Ericsson namely w580, w800, w760 etcc.... ? also does the tocuh screen functionality of this phone lags while browsing its OS ? or is it as smooth and faster like iphone 3g ? thanks for this great news ..take care all :)
plz if any body knows about the xperia's prise let me know my email is tahish19@hotmail.com
and i'll be greatly thankfull
The price is in Philippine Peso and as for its international release, we don't the slightest idea when that will be. While I'm not at liberty to speak about specific details at the moment about its performance since we're releasing a full review in the near future, let me just say that so far it works great as a touchscreen device.
So does anyone know how much this phone will cost?
do you know how much it is gonna be????
awww.40k... but its worth it
40K? is it because it's newly released? I've observed that prices tend to fall as time goes. That's from P800 to P1. I'm thinking it would be the same for X1
the specs is really good... its 1 of the fatest phone in the market... better than i phone. in europe u can the i phone 3g for only 350euro, but the X1? its around 600 to 700 euro... about the specs? just the processor and the ram it is very impressive having a qualcomm 524mhz and 256Ram... just like htc touch pro... welll i hope anybody in the philippines knows htc,,, but anyway i still go with x1..
Bottomline, the XPERIA X1 is being positioned -- not just as a consumer or a productivity device, but one that offers you the best of both worlds -- a "wicked" entertainment appliance, yet loaded with productivity features that the most fastidious mobile professional could use very effectively in an enterprise context. There's already a fans website for the phone http://www.Xperia-X1.org LOL
So, is it already in the Phil. market?
How much is this phone?
cay you give the address of the store of the phone
got mine for 34K.
I bought mine for 700$. I am already using it for a month now and I dont find it that user friendly. I am selling ti for 650$ now. Still negotiable cause I know I wont be able to sell it immediately. If theres anyone out there who is interested buying my phone just cotact me..
