The Nokia E71 has been touted as one of the best E-series phones to come from the Finnish company, but it's relatively expensive when compared to the other previous models Nokia has released in the past couple of months. So as to offer everyone in the market a chance to own and enjoy the benefits of the E71's great form factor as well as some of its stellar features, Nokia has announced the E63.

It looks almost like an identical twin of the E71 albeit lacking the sopshitication as it trades in the steel accents for ordinary plastic. Aside from the external changes, it likewise dumps the 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, GPS and HSDPA 3.6Mbps connectivity for a more modest 2-megapixel camera and GPRS/EDGE connectivity feature set. Sure, the lack of HSDPA connectivity might be a bummer but at least it still comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, and the same reliable battery to make it a decent buy at its more affordable price of $255 which is roughly just P12K++ as opposed to the P23K SRP of the E71. This is, of course, just my assumption of how much it would probably cost, but let me just stress how its price will play a key role if the E63 has any chance at all in succeeding the local market.
No word though on when it will become available in the Philippines, but I'm betting it might make a debut just in time for a post-holiday shopping spree. So if I were you, I'd go easy on the expenses this holiday season because you never really know what goodies lie in store when 2009 finally arrives.

The new model was rated poorly and its a bit wider than the e71.
So identical. Maybe its a bit faster since its made of plastic. Metal interferces with the signal thats why Apple iphone 3g is made of plastic.
ok naman E63..friendly version ng E61i and E71..nabili ko ng 12,300 sa pangasinan..
e71 19500 to e63 12000, difference nang hsdpa- 3.2Mpix to 2Mpix cam- body(3mm difference max sa thickness, 2mm sa width, 1 mm sa lenght) ok naman performance nya.
So ok din talaga ang E63? Bibili ako ngayon. Mura pa! :)
i bought mine(e63) last march 5. ok na sya. kasi mura. gulat nga friends ko nung sinabi kong 12, 300 lang to e.
i got my e51 last april 2008 and i am jealous of those who have the e63. but still, i am happy with my e51, i would like to have an e63 though... hee hee hee
sige, il buy one....
Where did you buy E63 for P12k? Nokia sells it at P14k as does vertex
Hi @ Greenhills they sell this for 12k, but i just noticed at trinoma and SM mall sell it 4 abt 19K huh at
(0% daw?!>*
ang mahal naman ng bili nyo.mukhang richness kayo no!!! ung E63 ko libre lng bigay ng SMART COMMUNICATIONS ahahahahahahahaha
i bought one at hello sm makati at P12 though me premium if you're going to buy it in installment, around 1k din yun. okay nman performance nya. nagulat din nga mga friends ko kasi they thought it's pricey.
I had been using Palm Pilot for almost 7 years, but yesterday it's not working anymore. Since the new Palm Treo is so expensive, I'm planning to buy N63 for the replacement of my Palm. I use todo, appointments, wi-fi very often and I'm hoping that E63 has all these features.
bought my E63 at P11,200. ok naman gamitin sa mall with wi-i habang naghihintay sa anak ko na naglalaro sa play areas, ndi nakakainip.
I got mine at SM Sucat. forgot the name of the shop but i believe there are only a couple of shops at the third floor, top of the hypermart. Got it for 11,150.00. I'm happy with its performance, wished it had a better camera thought. Pic quality isn't that good.
got mine from a friend who owns a cellshop for php11,000. check out the technical review between the blackberry curve or the storm to the E61 and you'll be convinced the e63 tops 'em all! go to zedge.net great price...even greater smartphone!
ok ang E63 w/WIFI mdaling mka pag internet

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!
