iPhone Bluetooth File Transfer to debut via Jailbreak

While most wait for flash support to arrive on the iPhone, others are wondering when Bluetooth file transfer will become available on Apple’s mobile phone.

Well, wonder no more. Thanks to developer MeDevil, iPhone Bluetooth file transfer may become a reality sooner than later as he is currently working on one as we speak. The video is just a peak into the future of his app, and when the time is right, it will be unleashed to jailbroken iPhones all over the world via the iSpazio repo.

There’s still no word on when the full vesion will be released, but considering that these iPhone developers are such efficient folks, I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes live by next week.

Wow what an update ngayon pa lang may bluetooth transfer sa iphone and it cost how much?

34k and you still need to jailbreak it to use the function nice rip off!

ill rather buy a netbook than this fad gadget

Nokia 5800 is the best overall touchphone

Although the iPhone is limited in some features, I’ll choose it over the 5800 anytime!

The iPhone now also has copy and paste via a jailbroken app called clippy.

Great job!!!
I wonder… how far i it for the addition of h2dp support!!

Thank you much

you mean it doesn’t have bt file transfer like my htc phones?

Hahaha! Just sell your iPhone for P40k, buy the Nokia Tube for P20k and get bluetooth file transfer for FREE.

;-P

What?! Just now? It sounds so 3 years ago! Apple boasted about its iPhone as the world’s most advanced mobile. Yet, most it’s deficient in the most basic features like CUT

the suggestions here are too ridiculous that their either sourgraping or just naive…

1. a netbook for an iphone? good luck putting that in your pocket and plugging your earphones while on the go to listen to music, lol

2. 5800 for an iphone? this is a joke right? have you actually held the two together? boy the reason the 5800 is cheap is bec it does feel cheap and looks cheap, an n97 would have been a worthy comparison

3. htc? two words - clunky interface

nice news anyway on the bluetooth file transfer, i dont really see myself using it but its nice to know that the jbreak community are alive and kicking

iphone is just style. even my n95 can do a lot more. it has radio (internet and analog), browser via skyfire just like the desktop, i don’t need to mention everyone knows already. iphone can only do html browsing. signal is poor.

someone should work on the iPhone’s A2DP!

No bluetooth in iphone.
i prefer nokia.

someone should work on the iPhone’s A2DP!

iPhone now has bluetooth file transfer?! Give me a break. Many ordinary phones had them 4 years ago or even earlier. ;-) I was dumb when I bought one, yet I was redeemed when someone bought it from me at 75% of its price. Now, I’ve an Omnia, it’s better than iPhone in quite a number of important features. That was my last iPhone.

yes, n97 would be the worthy to be compare for. i’ll go for n97.

If you don’t have an iPhone, tell people how bad it is.

Brian, the owner of comment # 12 was right. iPhone indeed, has a more responsive touch screen software than Omnia’s. Yet Omnia is excellent in other features like productivity with its MS Office, better camera, faster WIFI/Blutooth/3G/EDGE, etc. I’m a network administrator, I found Omnia easier to configure and connect to our company network. iPhone-3G is just iHype…

Right! I like that word “iHype”. That’s the truth really, iPhone is just an over-hyped handset. Most of its features that Apple bragged about being so advanced were already featured by quite a number of brands some 2 years ago. To be fair with iPhone, its touchscreen response is better than any smartphone’s. Yet the fact still remains - it’s just another expensive mp3-playing mobile. Even it its home country, the recession-burned USA, Samsung sold more handsets than Apple. It’s even Motorola that comes 2nd to Samsung.

Sourgraping!! have u held an iphone?
I had owned nokia’s, htc, motorola,
they all crapped. Even Samsung OMNIA, they all copycat, they all follow at the leader in touchphone.

Why not grab one iphone then make the comment again..

is your phone can hold or download those very useful, informative, educational, life saving, navigational APPS?

The guy you replied to may not have an iphone, but I do have. My gf traded it to me for my Blackberry. To be honest with you, I change handsets just like changing my underwears. To give my 1 peso-comment on the iphone - IT SUCKS. Now I’m giving it to my niece. Hey, I heard Apple is contemplating on an iphone 4G. So soon! Let’s put this way - it’s a way for Apple to cover up its boboos for the 3G version. I hope it’ll have the most basic thing in document editing - CUT

I’ve been digging out iPhone in the shop, I never thought it doesnt really have the basic option like BT Transfer, Cut & Copy or whatsover. My boss is kept on asking why I am not buying one because instead I bought Omnia. I’ve been using a lot of Windows Mobile phones, from HTC, Atom, iPAQ and now Omnia. I can say, in terms of APPS & Office productivity, WM phones are still far best from iPhone. Yes of course iPhone is another iHype. But I love to have one for collection.

iPhone out of the box is really a crippled phone. But once you have installed Cydia, you can download lots of apps to activate other features of your iPhone. I don’t think the next gen iPhone will have that much “free” features. I love my iPhone after jailbreaking it. A little effort will give you tons of possibilities with your iPhone… if you know how to do it right.

Absolutely right ,Dennis, Cydia is a must for iPhone. To bros whom had iphone but unhappy, u will regret converting to omnia. Others who has no iphone yet, save! Then buy!. Nokias supremacy is collapsing, they might still be leading But their market share were diminished, that’s why they had own copycat of iphone.

I both have these 2 top of the line smartphones. I got my Omnia from being lucky in an X’mas raffle. I installed Cyndia into my iP and SPB into my Omnia to enhance them. Each has its own and - points over the other. iP responds better to touches; I have to dig deeper to have Omnia respond. iP has better OS compared to Omnia’s sluggish Winmo. Yet in quite several departments, Omnia is better: processor, camera, internet connectivity, wifi/bt/3g, stereo bt, audio/video compatibility, camera, battery, productivity(ms office, yes bill gates), etc. I must admit, iP has lost this debate.

Dennis is correct. Once you have a cydia then everything would be fine. Lots of apps..and still counting. check your cydia more often! I have mine jailbreak by myself.

talking about ‘cripple’, iphone is indeed one crippled device. it also crippled my niece’s savings for buying one. installing cyndia and any other 3rd party application to cover up its deficiencies is not an excuse. these 3rd party apps can not even make it a better phone. they can not do more than the hardware can support. they can’t make it more than a 3mp cam, acquire stereo blutooth capability, turn it into a video-calling handset, improve its battery life and convenience - gosh the list goes on. it’s just a touch phone that has fancy colored buttons, etc.

Badong, you’re a bit behind on techie stuff arent’ you? and It doesn’t cost 34 k to get a iphone. In terms of usability both are the same, you can even process word, excel and PDF’s using the iphone thru text guru, It has a voice recording facility, you can use the flash light utility, and many others. JAILBREAKING IS FREE!! you should check youtube every now and again, I find Dinozambas a very informative poster, you should check it out. CUT AND PASTE is easily done with copier utiility, so guys who are arrogant or who are arguably ludites shouldn’t hide under their rock, get out and live your lives.

Hahaha! Why can’t just iPhone fanboys and fangirls just humbly accept that their baby’s technologies like a 2mp-cam, noflash, slow-3G, etc…are so 3-years ago?!…and you seem to be the luddite in this case.

why do you have to buy this crap.. it is not possible to just jailbreak the iphone for the bluetooth.. you need a hardware not just a software..

Yes iPhone can’t be beaten in the sofware category, except in the now fabled cut-paste-copy category that it needed rescue from its 3rd-party developers. It’s response to touch and its array of fancy-colored buttons are more than amazing. But in the hardware technology. umnnn, iPhone sucks and Apple knows this big time: 2mp, crappy 3G, low-end bt…and the biggest wonder tech it doesn’t have: A2DP. I guess the fan boys and girls don’t know what this all about. Well, simple, it’s a tech that wirelessly streams STEREO music from your phone to any bt headset or bt desktop speakers. iPhone is still entangled to a wiry mess technology. Hey, iPhone 4G, I heard is coming to town soon. I heard from my friend working at Apple…too bad…it will still have a camera that’s less than 5MP… ;-( And about the new Omnia, well, it’ll be the first HD mobile in the world. Now jailbreak it, fan girls and boys…

Long Live Windows Mobile -
Sony Ericsson X1!!

iPhone out of the box is really a crippled phone. But once you have installed Cydia, you can download lots of apps to activate other features of your iPhone.

jailbreak? it is risky– that’s a fact. and why risk your investment for something that should have been there already having paid a premium? even the iphone 3gs doesn’t make the cut of the new smart touch phones. and apple should watch out for the new android phones coming.

I have an Iphone and use the Globe sim card for my messages but prior the to owning the iphone I have a subscription for email with Smartbro…after configuring y iphone to receive emails from my computer via smartbro, Globe that represents IPhones here blocked my access to my email an act which i believe infringes on my right of choice for an email provider.
this of course is a move to force me to use Globe for email purposes and which would benefit Globe but will
force me to spend more for the use of the IPhone. I think I might as well move back to the use Nokia.

my P3,000 nokia 2630 has bluetooth.

Is there now an idea when the software will be released or is it already?

iphone is a great device but i am a blackberry lover at heart. theres really nohting like it.

Lot of features were not included in previous firmware. That cut and paste feature is a thing of a past. Just upgrade to firmware 3.0. For me it’s still the best handheld device as long as youre in data plan (You will connect to internet most of the time) to check traffic, transportation timings, news, gps locations etc… It can do everything a pc can do. I havnt touch my ds and psp for months now since theres a lot of apps in iphone and i enjoyed it very much. you also have an ipod and gps. you can even read news, txt, browse and edit documents while listening to music. its really a convergence of technology. I can even watch tv in my iphone(depending on your telco) on my free time. I have a 32gb iphone.

Apple will not allow file transfer for that is illegal and that will be a loss to the music industry especially if you are transferring MP3s.

And with more than 1 billion applications of most which are free or comes in a lite version, iPhone revolutionized the way we use phones.

just wait for the new iphone 4g in a year or two. But with my experience with the 3g Im not sure id be willing to shell out a fortune again just to get the latest version.

My 3g will be my first and last iphone. That’s for sure

Choose an iPhone if you prefer a handy PSP, w/ sort-of-a-mobile features.

But if you consider other user-friendly applications, go for other PDA phones.

I think communicating with bluetooth is a bit old school per se. How about N wifi? and a tcp 6 eh?

iPhone is the smartest gadget i ever had… its complete, internet browsing, e-mail, messages, video recorder, games, ipod, etc. etc. pretty cool… i luv this stuff so much…morethan blackberry. I used Nokia 5800 express mucic but i sold it after 1 month…don’t like it.

good idea to have a bluetooth connectivity from iphones.really nice idea..perfect..

I’m an imate KJAM user since 2006, and i don’t have any complains with it. office, windows media player, wireless, bluetooth and touchscreen are its main features. All features run so smoothly. in short, i’ll give this PDA a perfect score of 100. now i bought sony ericson P1i because the store offers it at 50% discount. love the P1i, it has almost the same feauture with my KJAM. plus it has business card scanner and 3G. the only problem i encounter with this is, it gives me hard time configuring its wireless connection. that’s why, i went back on using my PDA.

one question, ive heard that iPhones are now considered as the hottest and the hyppiest available in the market recently. Is it worth buying for? considering of course that i am already a PDA and p1i user.

thanks

let’s face it. iphone wins hands down on the popularity and beauty contest! Unfortunately, basic functions are not present! BT transfer, cut

sounds good, been waiting for the day!
