iPod Touch apps: And so it begins

Apple has just launched a specific webpage on its site listing all (acknowledged and above-board) webapps available thus far, particularly for the iPhone and the iPod Touch. It’s the first overt sign of things to come. Among the webapp categories listed are for entertainment, games, news, productivity, sports, travel and utilities, and can be found here.

More importantly, a large number of iPhone apps have been found to work for the iPod Touch as well (mostly through the TIFF Jailbreak method), and a listing of these is available on the iPod Touch Fans wiki, which as of this writing lists 16 applications usable on an iPod Touch.

This is going to be fun.

I’m expecting an idiot-proof GUI version of the jailbreak to… um… break out in the coming week or so.

    Interesting times indeed!
