Hell freezes over: Apple now worth more than IBM

As of Monday, Apple Inc.’s capitalization was put at US$186 billion - putting it ahead of IBM which is valued at US$156.45 billion. This rise came as Apple shares peaked at US$186.

We’d like to take this time to say hello once more to Mr. Michael Dell, of Dell Computers, who seems will never ever live his 1997 statement down.

That is why we should be careful of what we say. We will never know what happens in the future. There is always a possibility that we will eat the words we say.

Apple worked hard for its status today. I do believe that they were also motivated to prove their critics wrong especially those who publicly said that it cannot be done.

Lesson to learn: Do not say it cannot be done to Steve Jobs. One day, it might just happen.
