i don’t have scraps anymore at home since i give them away to needy neighbors
that lead-acid battery thing should always be returned and disposed of properly…
it’s like saving for our future, for our environment

this is a very good initiative….keep it up SM

Wow, they’re giving a higher compensation than my nearest junkshop. (Except my junkshop suki picks up the stuff from my house, so I guess transportation costs balance things out)
I sold a lot of junk last month for P1,000 as part of my general house cleaning project (I even blogged about it). It’s a good feeling to purge unwanted items from your house, preserve the environment, and earn some cash as well.

sayang nga lang hindi uso sa atin ang garage sale …it’s one way of recycling din;one’s garage can be another’s treasure!probably hindi nauuso dyan because of the culture/mentality we have …
there are so many ways to recycle…
ang mga sapatos, bags, clothes…pag pwede pa,ok pa!ba’t pa bibili ng bago?walang masyadong disiplina ang mga families sa atin when it comes to items like these.
Kung pwede mag-tsinelas during weekends or doing grocery, why not?makakapag-save kapa sa pagpudpud ng shoes,di ba?
why buy expensive bags kung meron namang give-away nice and old trusted bags si nanay o ni auntie..uso naman ngayon and old0fashioned look,eh?
so easy to recycle…it can even save you monies!

Is this an ongoing thing? I also saw something like this at SM Southmall last weekend and hope I can bring some items when I go back next weekend…

Here in America there is so many way you can get rid of your junk, Either you have “garage sale” on weekend or donated you well get taxes deductable when you file your income taxes. But I save the aluminun can its about $1.00 lbs. or so! Its depend where you’re taken you recycable items.

To obelisk RE: Is this an on-going thing? If this campaign gets enough warm reception from the community (and enough trash too
) then SM could most likely make this on-going. So support recycling in your community!

I love your site. I found your blog via Google while searching for forex news alert and your post regarding Day 4 of Frugality Week: Recycle looks very interesting to me. It really looks very nice. The articles provided are long enough to provide great content but not so long as to be totally engrossing, if you know what I mean.
